Pakistan Chitral Kush (some times called Purple Pakistani, Purple Kush or Purple Pakistan Chitral Kush) is a pure Indica hash plant that originates from the Hindu Kush region of Pakistan. It's a true hash plant that grows study, with remarkable resistance to mold, disease, and harsh climate. It's not just a rugged beast though. It's also a really beauty, with copious resin production, a stunning array of colors with its blood red stock and buds ranging form deep purple to pink to blue-ish to green and a truly unique aroma of cherry, blackberry and coffee. It is one of the most beautiful plants i've ever seen. The other outstanding quality of this gem is it's high. It's possesses the classic hash plant, potent, relaxing effect but with a super happy, ear to ear grin and without the hard comedown of the thicker Indicas.
Indoor flowering 8 weeks
Outdoor harvest end of September.

I certainly do not know who made the strain but I do know it was around in the early 80s and it was exceptional. Old thread but interesting.

hey im no expert in kushes ive just been reading a lot of them lately...could it be that the two genetics that was bred to the purple kush came from india or pakistan or whatever they got that land race strain...and if so they found a purple pheno on that landrace strain and they brought it either in canada or cali and interbreed them shouldnt that classified as originated in wherever they have bred it? for instance my dad is chinese and my mom is half hispanic/chinese and i was born in the states so technically i am an american at least by papers and not by race. i would give a guess that it is gentically enhance either in cali or canada since india/pakistan have no clue how to inter breed them at that time...just my guess. hope that 2 cents help

kush doesnt come from cali or canada, nice try. It comes from the mountins of Hindu Kush in India. it was brought to canada (BC) then moved to Humbolt county in CALI
lol India? Just cuz it says HINDU doesn't mean its from India! haha, the Hindu Kush Mountain is in Afghanistan and Northern Pakistan.
The Hindu Kush (the mountains of Hind[1]) is a 500-mile mountain range stretches between central Afghanistan and northern Pakistan. The highest point in the Hindu Kush is Tirich Mir (7,708 m or 25,289 ft) in the Chitral region of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Yo hey people. I am a breeding with PCK right now. Its an awesome strain worked for several years by CannaBioGen of Spain. They used it to make some of their flagship buds come to life as well as creating one of their most inspirational works to date, Sandstorm, which is about 70% PPC (Purple Pakistan Chitral - there are several colorful phenos in the line, including a green and "white"). If you wanna read my breeding thread its RIGHT HERE. I have been studying it and have a lot of useful knowledge about it on that thread. My thread is a cross I am working on with Apollo 13 and PPC. DO NOT MISTAKE PCK for Purple Kush, even though that is exactly what it is technically. The Purple Kush everyone has around town is NOTHING LIKE these beauties. These plants have several colorful tones from deep blue to vibrant pink. Some seeds will produce plants with pink hairs. The green and white pheno plants will be more potent and have a different bouquet and flavor. I have had Purple Kush that was fluffy, mostly light purple to bright red colors, lots and lots of leaf to calyx = a mess if not manicured, hardly any crystals to be found, and tasting not all that dank but like grape soda or something purple, couldn't quite identify it. NOT PCK. This stuff is AWESOME. The flavor and smells that come from this plant are magical, take my word for it. The buzz with the Purple Kush - nothing special. It didn't hit you with any overwhelming immediate effects and the overall effects were too weak and short lived to ever call it medicine. The PCK will take you there, and leave you there for a while. And while not overwhelming you, it is a clear headed Indica relaxation effect for the body. This is grade A+, NOT Purple Kush. The thing that makes it special to a breeder is that it is a Land Race Strain/Inbred Line. But for the average grower, the thing you might want to know about it is that you shouldn't expect miracles from a plant this beautiful when it comes to yield, but commercially speaking, because it is Purple and it is Potent, you can't go wrong. If you get a green/white one, you have a real special plant because most of the females I read about are one of the many colored phnenos that come through with this line. Just about anything good will cross with this, and you can make pure hybrids with Sativas because it is Pure Indica. The F1's from all the crosses I have read about are AWESOME!!!

I don't know much about BeanHo, because I always try to get as close to the actual breeder to get genetics. People who make things like PCK x PCK and sell them on the net, well that is just whack. There is a demand for this, no doubt, because CBG and ACE (the only two companies I know of that are authorized to sell PCK packs) are always running low :) try to gert it hot off the presses!!!

Yeah, this is an old thread and you can see how it died, lol. PCK was a relatively new release from CBG when this conversation began. They authorized Ace Seeds rights to it around the time this thread died. So any claims that the Purple Kush you smoked in the 70s was PCK would be amazing because most of the Purple Kush I ever heard of was a land race Afghani Purple pheno. Modern Purple Kush I have seen is a cut of Urkle and a male Kush from an Afghan line, I believe. I too am too lazy to look shit up :) Don't start a fight with me over it if I am a little off, but I try to keep my ear to the ground when it comes to awesome Purple genes in the pool... and poopy ones.

Anyone here who is old enough to have been smoking chron since the mid nineties remebers when "Purple Kush" poppped up your local dealers hand. The hint of where it came from lies in a fact that BT referered to earlier that "purple kush" was originally only available as a clone . Not seed. The fact that purple kush herms easily resulted in everyone having the strain ( loosley to very loosley ) in some way or another by year 2000. The original strain was developed somewhat by accident, never documented and the persons involved cared no more than to have better local sales than the guy that lived a block away. And food on the table. BT you must be familiar with surrey B.C . The REAL home of the original PURPLE KUSH
Because who gives a fuck.
End of story
PS How long does pollen last i still have a bag from the original parent strains .
