It's raining out right now otherwise I'd post up a few pics of mine. Almost everythings started to sprout now and looking good but that heat wave we had burnt up what I transplanted pretty bad so they'll need time to recover.

i had cantaloupe seeds planted but the bugs got to them before they sprouted. i was gonna try to find some established pepper plants to replace them.

Here are some pictures from a week ago. Tomatoes are a bit larger now and the butternut squash is taking over the driveway.

African daisies, sunflowers, and cucumber coming up:

Cilantro and my other herbs

Butternut squash

Kale

Variety of tomatoes and tomatillos

Lettuce, chard, greens, kale, carrots, and radishes

Bok Choi that i need to start cutting along with chard, eggplant, and basil

Raspberry

These are about 5' tall. I just screwed on the last extensions so this rack is now ~8' tall. I'll be placing the next shelf tomorrow.

lettuce again

This tomato isn't getting much larger but man is it packing on the fruit.

been too focused on the greenhouse build. 20 mph winds with gusts to 30 took its toll today, but the plastic stayed on. i just need to pop a few things back into place with pvc glue this time and add some stabilizers.

then i can get back to the veggies.

Hello. Beautiful pics Gastanker! Awesome invention for a tomato cage. Got my mind going now. hmmm...I am growing a mega pumpkin(supposed to get like 35 lbs.) it is the only thing I have in the ground because it wont be consumed - just decorated. I am too scared to grow in the ground this year due to a flooding problem and my dog Lexi (Princess, if you please) pooped all over it...Anyway, in containers I have a honeydew, yellow pepper, lettuce mix, green beans, cucumbers, and 5 varieties of tomatoes. As soon as I learn how to post pics (or get them from the camera to the computer even), I will. Happy gardening!

ps. mcpurple: what is rep? fill me in plz

i was super lazy this year and just got everything done this week.. i ordered some seeds for the first time for some veggies this year, and i started them in like april.. got some odd tomato varieties like pineapple tomato and some odd italian ones as well... they are all looking pretty good still..
i've got a ton of peppers, bells, sweet banana, and a few others... also trying for the first time this year a couple of canteloupe's.. i'm sure i probably got them in too late for them to do really good, but i'll see what happens..
i've also got a couple of cucumbers as well as about 15 or so tomato plants all together... and some akorn squash, and zuchinni's and some other squash, i think they are crookneck's... oh yah, two white eggplants too, but for some reason i never do good with the eggplants while i usually kill it in the cucumbers and zuchinnis.. i don't know why they don't do well here for me when everything else rocks usually.
looks like i'll have a later harvest than i would have liked, but you can assure i'll be eating plenty of yummy chocolate chip zuchinni bread and fresh cucumbers in the near future..
waiting till it gets a lil darker outside and i'll go out an water everything pretty good..

rep.. is reputation, and it pretty much don't mean all that much, but makes you feel good..like internet thank you's, lol.. if you say something that someone like's or enjoys, see the lil star under your post?? you can click on that, and leave someone some rep, pretty much just a short sentence saying why you're leaving it, and your name so they know who left it in case they want to rep you back..
the more rep that the person leaving the rep has, the more rep points they are able to leave you.. i think it's like 1/10th of the points that the person doing the repping has, you get.. so if someone with lots of rep power reps you, you get more rep quicker.. newbies rep is worth not so much..
the more rep ones gets, you get those bars, like under my username where it says super stoner, mr ganja. and then the bars, the bars represent how much rep i have..
and the whole stranger thing is only due to how many posts one has.. after so many posts you go from stranger to learning how to roll, etc... it's just a quick way to let peps know how long you've been on the boards and how much you post...

o yah, if you go to my roll it up button on the top right hand side and click that, you'll see who's left you rep and what they said and how many rep points you have..
i just left you one so that you can see what it is, lol....

yah, see now you have one bar next to your name.. that came from the rep i just gave you.. the more people rep you, the more bars you'll get..

looking good gastanker.. i'll go out tomorrow and take some with my camera .. i have some on my phone now, but they are a pain in my arse to upload sometimes...
yours are looking very nice though.. i was super late getting my shit in though, which is typical me.. looking alright thus far though... your zuchinnis or what ever they were by the driveway are looking great.. i love when they get all big and leafy like that.. probably why i usually manage to loose one or two big ones in the middle of summer under all of those big ass leaves, lol..
