which light should i use?

hello, I am growing in a small bedroom closet, only a few plants. Im just growing a few plants for personal use, and need some cheap lighting. Ive done some research and noticed that most people use mh or hps lights, but they are very expensive. After some online studying i came across led growing lights, any opinions? I also need something that wont make my electricity bill look suspicious, has anyone had any positive experiences with cheaper, less watt lights?

Go with some cfls or t5s if you dont want to deal with hid.But imho i would go with a hps they start from 150 watts and go to 1000 watts.The 150 watt costs only 69.99

spend the money on a small hps. I'm switching my little cabinet over to one from a bunch of cfls. all those little lightbulbs are a pain in the ass imo.

CFLs will definitely be an option for your situationn
cheap and effective......i am in the same right now and i sort of want to use a cfl instead of my mh and hps....not really complaining about them ....just might have been better for me

Do the cfls emit a lot of heat? I don't have much money for ventilation but would a simple oscillating fan be enough to keep my kids cool?
