Just to clarify, when he says oldest branches that obviously means the lowest branches. I find that smaller clones root a lot faster but bigger clones while sometimes taking longer, once rooted have that much more growth already in place, so its about finding a comfortable medium. But surely the bigger propagator is going to be more useful as im sure time will come when you will want at least one or a few big clones.Try to cut your clones from the oldest branches. And a good rule of thumb is to have your cuttings no less than 2-3 inches.
Yes your right with the tray and humidity dome, are clones supposed to stay away from CFL lights and placed in a window till its rooted is this correct?Just to clarify, when he says oldest branches that obviously means the lowest branches. On another note, when you say propagator i automatically am thinking your talking about a tray with a humidity dome, is that right?
I used a root roit plugs a schultz powder for the first time couple weeks ago, i just got my clones to root a couple days ago, took 9 days to root , the lowest branch is your best bet do to its maturity and strength the other clones i cut off newer plants and middle branches died , also i noticed if your clones are stll alive after the 5th 6th day there going to make it, make sure to keep them moisturized all times, if they dry just for a little bit they will die on you, also i have my t5 lights the closest i can to dome(glacier bay bottle) or plants with NO problems at all. I didnt even mist mine you should have no prob, its really not difficult at all
