Which would photosynthesize best?

Fewer large leaves or Many tiny leaves?

I'm curious to know for a future grow.

would it use more light if there were a lot of little leaves or if there were less larger fan leaves?

lots of small leaves for sure, much more surface area!

I hear that fan leaves are the most efficient leaves for energy and growth on the plant. So don't go chopping down the big leaves to make room for the little ones or hoping that more will grow if you do! I'm sure nature has this figured out by now and that is why it has big fan leaves and not simply more little ones and no big ones*

lol, if hes asking what leaves to cut off, none! I dont really get the original question though...as far as efficiency is concerned many small leaved are better than fewer big leaves for surface area...however it doesnt make sense to ask which leaves would be better, to know which to cut off..surely you arent going to cuz leaves off OP?
