Biodegradability is my concern, alot of shopping bags these days are make to decompose fast cos of all the whinging from hippies about landfil and plastics, and the bags are made of so,e kond of poly-plastic, even though they feel like cloth.

still wouldnt compost over the course of one grow even with a long veg time. most fabric pots are bio degradable.

I already have some cloth grocery bags though, so zi don't have to pay for em now. Interestingly, the label inside the shopping bags says it's polypropylene as well. The grow pots on the site you linked look thicker though. Mm might give it a bash anyhow and just see how it goes, since these cloth bags are all some shops have these days, they'd certainly be an easily accessible option to going out and buying large pots or ordering purpose-made grow bags 8D
