White Berry: 400w CMH + 357 Magnum + Blackstar 240

Moving my journal to this site as there is a larger user base. I started with the 400w CMH and the 357 Magnum on a light rail. Eventually the 9 plants got a lot bushier and I felt the need to add in the Blackstar 240. All on a light mover to promote even growing and an even distribution of light (as even as I could get it).

In veg yes, so far I have not seen as vigerous flowering as i did with 2x600w HID. Hell of a lot cheaper on my electricity bill though! And much cooler in the room.

I'm using the expert line of General Hydro. I think it is the florablend and the organic base that is making all the gunk. I'm switching to advanced next round. Want to see if the hype is true.

Also, have you tried CMH in flower? The spectrum on the bulbs are intense, suppose to be great for flowering as well.

Yeah I was hoping I would be able to flower with the cmh so that I don't have to buy another just for flowering ( correct me if im wrong but isn't red/orange spectrum better for flowering?

That is correct, however the CMH provides that spectrum, just because it cannot be seen doesn't mean it is not there. HPS has a higher lumen output so penetration may be better, but i've also heard CMH has a better PAR rating which may outweigh the lumen output. Who knows, I just like to try different things.

I'm liking this grow man. Looking good my friend! Just keep doing whatever it is your doing.. and you'll have a VERY happy plant.. and a VERY beautiful and plentiful harvest!

Excellent job man! Nice!

Well, I left for the weekend, temps got too hot and root rot set in :(. Ladies and mothers gone. Needless to say, I had a backup mother at a friends house and picked some new clones. It's going to be a while but I will start another journal as soon as those root.

sucha bummer, these ladies were looking very good.
