hey all checked the trichs on my plants and they look done( 20%amber) but they still have a lot of fresh pistils. the strains in question are kalashnikova , big bomb and cannalope kush. they have been in 12/12 for 15 weeks now but just dont look ready. they also have had a dose of shooting powder in week 7 which is suppose to prolong flowering but didnt expect this long.. any suggestions on what to do?

I have a lot of cloudy trichs now and still nothing but white pistils on an og I have going. As soon as I hit 5-10% amber, I'm cutting. Your pistils will change anyway once you cut. At 20%, I would think you should go ahead and do the same before thc degrades any further. You're checking the trichs on buds, not leaves right?

there were a few responses here that left somthing to be desired for the question at hand... "For shame" In my experience it seems that pistiol development seems to continue damn near "too long" and is not a very good judge of plant maturity or ripeness. That being said I have been under the direct impression that its your trich's that are your ultimate factor in harvesting your plant. We all know the ratio's of cloudy to amber and how it effects your finall product so that being eliminated from the descusion it really falls back on you as to what to do. I am having the same issue with 2 of my 4 in a cab grow; I have 2 that the calaxes are swollen and laden with cloudy and amber trichs that I will harvest this week after my flush, however the two big girls are just taking there sweet time with the calaxes. This troubles me because the triches are about 10% amber and I have to consider a 2 week flush and hope to shit that the cal's sweel in that two weeks. tough call. - Week 7 flower under 600 watt HPS GH Flora series only. Started flush yesterday with my fingers crossed. Good luck!

anyone had a plant that had pretty much 50% calaxes turned red and still thought the trichs could grow abit? My plant seems to still be growing and its hairs are pretty much half red...? guess you gotta organise a decent magnifying glass and check out those trichs close up..

i had the same thing happen with a Northern Lights. At 12 weeks it had white pistils on the top buds. Trichs were ready and I harvested. Check the lower buds on the calyxes not the sugar leaves. The lower buds will be the last to ripen.

The pistils did not turn brown after cure, still white. Kinda weird.
