White puffy nodes on clones - rooting?

I have 2 cups of water with an airstone in each, 3 clones in each, keepvin mind 1 cup has clones that are a couple weeks older

I only have them in here to keep them alive while I decide on an aeroponics cloner and ive noticed the nodes are all white and soft and look like root sites but no physical roots are showing, are the clones just going to end up rooting in the glasses of water?

I've never cloned with a cup of water so I have no clue what the process looks like

Keep going. Roots will appear. Change water every 3 days at least.
