White Russian Seedlings

I am curious as to why this WR is stretching so much? I seen another thread where a guy was claiming his white russians were an inch tall with several sets of leaves. The light is about as close as its gonna get. Its the green T5 light, ,the 2 foot 4 bulbs. I have ALWAYS worked with clones and this is my first time with seeds. I have been growing for 4 years and I would like to think I have mastered hydro. In any event I need someone to shed some light on my situation. Is this normal? Is this ok? TIA RIU

In case anyone was wondering, the reaer bigger plant is some sour D I got as a clone. The yellow stickers are Flying dutchman power skunk and the green stickers are Nirvana's Masterkush. The strain I currently grow is Purple Kush.

I did not experience that when I grew WR. My plants were very bushy at that stage. I don't think I have ever had a sprout stretch like that. I use CFL's for veg, I don't know that it matters. Based on what I see and my experience with WR, it appears it is due to light. I am not familiar with "green T5 lights" but I swear, I think thats your problem. How close are they? Do you have a fan "gently" blowing across their tops? Those are reaching for light, no doubt.

You can just re-pot them once you get a bit more growth and take some of the "legs" off of her. At this stage, I wouldn't worry but I would look a bit closer at your lighting distance from plant and bulb. If you have them slap on top of your girls then I am not sure.

Let me know the answers to the questions and we can figure it out...hopefully. :weed:

I usually like sex with the lights on so...oh, wait, sorry, I misunderstood your post. jk

seriously, I am a firm believer that the sex of your plants are already determined. At this point, you want the nodes to be as close as possible. She will stretch out when you start 12/12. Let us know how they react to the changes. Also, make sure and plant about 2/3 of the "stretch" once she starts adding nodes. Good luck.

I am not going 12/12. I will be sexing the plants by eye and cloning them. To much stress is added to the potential mom when flowering and then reverting back to veg. I lowered the light a little so only time will tell. On one of my masterkush's it appears that it doesn't have the 2 fan leaves in between the first set of leaves. So I am not sure if they will finally come about or if the plant is hopeless.
