Really sorry to hear of the mold problem. It can make for some harsh smoke if it is dried in the buds.

If you can remove the affected areas now and get your plants into a lower humidity environment, you may be able to wait on the final harvest until the plants are fully mature. Air conditioning works great to lower humidity.

If the mold is going to continue to spread, you should harvest now and get those buds as dry as possible ASAP. I think opening them up and trimming the mold out as you have done before hanging them to dry is smart.

Good luck!!!:peace:

hey ralph, i chopped them down on sunday, couldnt jeopardize the whole thing...the buds are drying for 4 days now and shrinked to ridiculous size...tried a sample already - very potent stuff, energetic high, probably because of the early cut...the flowered altogether for 7 weeks...this growth was very rewarding nevertheless...from just a smoker i turned into a grower, learned a LOT..im gonna even say that i prefer living plants much more than drying buds, they look and smell much better alive..thanks to everybody for following this thread and thanks for your invaluable advice...next grow? i hope soon...
