As far as light cycle man that can get very controversial, but for just getting started I would suggest going with a fairly standard light cycle. Usually people will veg under 18/6, however there are others being 20/4 and 24/0. I personally usually run 18/6 but I have toyed with the others and not noticed much differance. Then 12/12 is just the common flower cycle, some people will incrementally lower there timers, some will use a 11/13, or even 10/14. I've seen a quote from DJ Short where he suggests experimenting with other light cycles because 12/12 is not optimal, and recommends going in half hour increments and paying attention to the plants. I have not done this, I have always just ran 12/12. Ya domes off and get the light close don't water till the soil is actually drying out a bit. Its very easy to over water when they are real little.

all great advice.

the environment actually goes from 13hrs in august, to 12hrs in sept to 11hrs in oct..and then we harvest outside.

i will be running veg, and then switch to 12hrs for one month..then 11hrs for the next month or two.

Yeah Top it up with soil as soon as you can. Only water with say around 250ml every other day, since the cfl's arnt that hot like HID the moisture wont dry up as fast, Don't soak the little ones just pour the water at the bottom of the stem where it goes into the soil, no need to soak the whole pot, try filling up another pot with soil let it dry out and feel the weight of it, and just compare the weight of this pot to all others when they are dry, thats when you know they need some water.

Sounds good man, you are right on track. Now comes the hard part of leaving them alone and letting them do their thing. Its my experience with growing that often times less is more, and that the waiting for them to do stuff sometimes is the hardest part.

I had one act real weird back in december. When it finally came up and started growing it "topped itself" right after the colloidal leaves.

i dont know if anyone has though of this but ... CRAIGSLIST CRAIGSLIST CRAIGSLIST.... if you can look it up on yeah craigsish and your more likely to find something than not. i came up on a steal a 600w with 3 bulbs one hid conversion and bad ass extra sun enclosure and 1000w with 3 bulbs one hid conversion in a nice enclosure reflector kinda looks like a cool tube with a hood . and an 8 in inline fan... all for under 140... it was sweet now i donate to the guy cause he has cancer and his bro is paraplegic and some other bad stuff. any ways i also got a 230 watt led light i traded for and IT FUCKIN BLINDS THE SHIT out of my eyes worst thing i did was look at it the first time i plugged it in. well see how it goes just swapped the 600whps to 1k today since im like2weeks inflwer and wanted to blast the shit out of them with light.... i hear uv lights make the resin build up nicer has anyone heard this? im thinking of swapping to mh bulb last week of flower and test it since it has more uv rays ans stuff. any who good luck i want white widow soon to be in dwc :) all i have been doing is afghan kush and its spring time :)
