who can answer this question accurately?

Hey growers! Not really an important question or anything but im pretty confused about this. I wasn't gonna ask but its kind of bothering me since I have no idea. But can someone explain to me why calyxes grow in this spot? It looks to me like they are just there and have no purpose.. its a swollen calyx then a stem growing out of the node forming the bud. But if that stem has the bud then what is that calyx for in the picture? Im beyond confused! Thanks RIU!

looks like a preflower to me m8.. and since preflowers and flowers don't grow in the same spots, i'm thinking that's what it is..

Them there are them female pre-flowers, she's probably like 6 weeks old if from seed...???

no, it's not going to grow a bud there, it's just a preflower site.. i don't really understand why preflowers and regular flowers start off in different spots, just the way it works is all, lol..

Vegged for 35 days and she's been in 12/12 for 31 days so about 10 weeks

Check it. I love those lone calyxes because they dry before the actual buds. On harvest day, many of them are dry already, so I pluck them off, collect them to the side and smoke it with my scissor hash. Keeps my enthusiasm up during harvest.

Nice! Lol that's a good idea.. do they got some weight to them at all if you have a bunch of them? I'm sure you can pack a nice bowl or just throw it into the BHO pile. Cause im deffinately planning on makin some of that stuff. Btw can you cut up branches and use that for BHO also?
