Eating Kosher According to the Bible

Eating kosher means to partake only of select nourishment sources which are biblically ordained by G-d. G-d considers only kosher animals (with fruits and vegetables) to be food. The blood and the fat in meat is also not kosher and must be removed to the practical extent possible. The clean or kosher animals were selected long before the Law of Moses.
While science continues to find health benefits to eating kosher, the real benefit to eating kosher is to walk in obedience to the Father, and thus be under His blessing. Genesis 7:1,2 “And YHVH said unto Noah, Come, you and all your house into the ark, for I have considered you to be righteous before me in this generation. Of every clean animal you shall take to you by sevens, the male and his female, and of animals that are not clean by two, the male and his female.”
G-d called Israel to be a holy, separated people, different from anyone else on the earth. We who follow Israel’s Messiah are recovered, redeemed Israel. We are also a holy and singular people on the earth. G-d wants everything we do to testify of our being a holy people. Even our eating is subject to the will of G-d, who gives us everything holy and good to enjoy.
Leviticus 3:17 "It shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwellings, that you shall not eat either fat or blood."
Leviticus 11:1-23 "And YHVH spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying to them, Speak to the children of Israel, saying, These are the animals which you shall eat among all the animals that are on the earth. Whatever has a divided hoof, which is clovenfooted, and also chews the cud, among the animals, that you shall eat. Nevertheless these you shall not eat of those that chew the cud, or of those that have a divided hoof, such as the camel, because it chews the cud, but does not have a divided hoof So, it is unclean unto you. And the rabbit, because it chews the cud, but does not have a divided hoof, it is unclean to you. And the hare (kangaroo), because it chews the cud, but does not have a divided hoof, it is unclean to you. And the swine (hog, pig, pork), though it has a divided hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet it does not chew the cud; it is unclean to you. Of their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcass you shall not touch; they are unclean to you. These you shall eat of all that are in the waters, whatever has fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, those you shall eat. And all that do not have fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination to you. They shall be even an abomination to you. You shall not eat of their flesh, but you shall have their carcasses in abomination. Whatever has no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination to you. And these are those which you shall have in abomination among the fowls (birds), they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the ossiprage, and the osprey, and the vulture, and the kite after his kind; every raven after his kind, and the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckoo, and the hawk after his kind, and the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl, and the swan, and the pelican, and the gier eagle, and the stork, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat. All insects that creep, going upon all fours, shall be an abomination unto you. Yet these you may eat of every flying insect that goes upon all fours, which have legs above their feet, to leap with on the earth, these of them ye may eat: the locust after his kind, and the bald locust after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grasshopper after his kind. But all other flying insects, which have four feet, shall be an abomination to you.”
Leviticus 20:25-26 “You shall therefore make a difference between clean animals and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and you shall not make your souls abominable by animal, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that moves on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean. And you shall be holy unto me. for I, YHVH, am holy, and have separated you from other people, that you
should be mine.”
Isaiah 65:3-6 “A people who provoke me to anger continually to my face . . . who eat swine’s flesh, and the broth of abominable things is in their vessels . . . These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burns all day long. Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom.”
Galatians 5:l9 “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness.”
1 Thessalonians 4:7 “For G-d has not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.”
Colossians 2:16,17 “Let no man make a decision for you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holy day, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days. These are a shadow of things coming for the body of Messiah.”
This scripture does not make it okay to break the commandments of G-d. Quite the opposite, it calls upon us not to allow man’s logic to manipulate our thinking against G-d’s will. It also notifies us that these things are shadows that are to be enjoyed by Messiah’s body until He comes again. Then we will appreciate them even more!
1 Timothy 4:1-5 “Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron . . . Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meat, which G-d has created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of G-d is good, and nothing to be refused, if it is received with thanksgiving and (if it) is sanctified (made holy) by the Word of G-d and interaction (with Him).”
To command to abstain from meat means to force vegetarianism, which would be an unbiblical command. The Word tells us which meats are food and which are not. The meats being talked about are those approved by scripture, which are sanctified by the Word. That is how they are “sanctified” (made holy, set apart, clean). So, only those creatures which are considered clean according to the Word are good for food. When understood on the basis of foundational truth, this scripture clearly does not make all meats acceptable for food. Think righteously, would G-d call the things which He commanded Israel to do “doctrines of devils”? It doesn’t make sense to suppose that this scripture speaks against eating kosher, which to do is according to the commandment of G-d Himself.
Remember, Adam and Eve fell into darkness and were rejected from paradise because they did not heed G-d’s direction concerning the food they consumed. At all of our public fellowships and in our private dining, we should eat only as our Father has commanded in His Word. Therefore, we will not eat pork or shellfish, nor any other type of creature strictly prohibited by His Word. Our beef, turkey, chicken, lamb, venison or other clean meat will be trimmed of fat, drained of blood and well cooked. We will enjoy all our Father’s many good provisions. This shall be a testimony that the body is His Temple and belongs to Him.

harry potter says that if i wave a wood stick and say certain words i could make shit explode...

that don't make it true... that's all i have to say about the b

as for horses being proud, intelligent animals, i can tell you live in the country and love horseback riding....

horses are good for eating, certain insects are good for eating, pigs, lamb, cows, fish, snakes, snails, frogs, you name it, it's very likely someone somewhere is eating that shit...

eating is meant for survival... it is NECESSARY. there's people that don't have a choice....

would I eat horse meat? absolutely, if I had a choice i'd go for the horse's skirt steak, followed by the tongue...:mrgreen::mrgreen: since no one serves it cuz apparently it's illegal, shucks...

if you were lost in the middle of a frozen tundra with your horse, a knife and a gun with 1 bullet in it....

after a week, would you shoot yourself, or shoot the horse to survive?

if you say shoot the horse then you think like I do, stop trying to appear to be more moral. if you say shoot yourself I say go ahead and do it now and skip the bullshit....:eyesmoke::eyesmoke::eyesmoke:

ROLF.. Um, where do I get my info? My Korean boyfriend and his Korean family, who strangely enough, ALL grew up in Korea! It has nothing to do with dairy foods being "taboo" in asia (they aren't, not at all). They aren't as readily available in some parts of asia, so you're right - they aren't as used to consuming dairy as we are which leads them to have higher rates of lactose intolerance.

But it IS NOT taboo, as you claimed it to be.

Look man look it up ....
most people in this country eat cheesburgers like i said even though its considered against the old testament....
When the pilgrims and the british came to this country they brang the customs .... that influence The US and Americans till this day....
i mention cheesburgers cause its one of the rules everyone breaks....
dairy and meat...
Im not a christian but i i grew up in an american society that i became acustom too.... like many americans....
Even the spanish who conqued many latin countries used the same text from the old testament in catholisism.....

These rules have faded....
but it explains allot of reasons why we eat what we do....

I dont know if u realized this or not but most american are christian...
we celebrate all their holidays..
and we eat the same kinds of foods....

just like in most asina countries they dont drink milk or eat dairy cause its taboo...

sorry for trying to teach u something....

Oh, so you didn't say it was taboo? Alrighty then, I guess your keyboard was possessed by a demon, because it sure looks like you said it.

OH, you said 'ASINA" countries! Not ASIAN! Well, I apologize for my presumption. You're right, dairy is taboo in ASINA countries (wherever THEY may be - in your head, most likely).

I lived in a country where People eat cats and its no different from eating chicken.

Dog meat is common in Korea, or used to be. Gaegogi, it's called (not to be confused with BULgogi, which is delicious and not made from dog) My boyfriend says it's for "rich people". They had to eat beef, because they were poor.
