Ok today i bid on a Hydrohut and won it on ebay for $170 shipped...(is that a decent price?)

I have a carbon air srubber, 400w HPS/MH light, fans, nutrients, testers, and everything else already. How can i get the max out of the hut with everything else i have and what are you opions on the hydrohut?

That is a reasonable price, a 3x3 goes for about 190-200 bucks, and that is only one extra square foot, and that is not with shipping.

If it is good quality, you got a great deal.

i have the mini which is like 3.5x3.5x6.5. It took me a couple of hours to put it together because the directions were kind of hazy. The double floor is a good idea, but it's a tight fit putting the first one on there. It's a very solid and well built unit. I wouldn't trade it for anything :)

i only paid like $189 or so for mine including shipping. it doesn't come very stealth, so don't be surprised when you get a big ass box that says "indoor hydroponic garden" in huge letters on the outside.

I have one i bought 4 months ago.$450 newzealand dollars.Easy to set up,especially like the portabilty.only 30mins to set up or packup and move.Had NFT system in last, worked great. One small observation, its not completely light proof.I was allright because of winter light hours but certainly something to fix if more than 12hours daylight.Using for clones and mums at moment as have another room.See gallery.Hope you have a good run with it.HAPPYGROWING.:blsmoke::mrgreen:

I have 4 of them them and I love them a ton. I have 2 deluxes with 15 flowering plants each (for flowering only). 1 4X4 for veg and I use a HH mini for drying.

THey are so sick for so many reasons: Light containment, management, accessibility you name it. Do a search by my username to see my posts. I have a journal working but haven't updated in a while because I am waiting to get a new camera.

I just upgraded my deluxes from 3 400 watt full spec MH to 3 600 watt HPS bulbs using Hortilux's Super HPS bulbs.

YOu can check in on me to get more info as it comes.

i looked at that model too, but i thought the hydrohut looked better built. it has an all steel frame, a 2nd floor which fits very snugly, and it has holes for the intake/exhaust instead of a soft sock setup.

for me, since i was going to spend close to $200 on something, it made more sense to go with the unit that seemed like would last longer and which had the best ability to upgrade as i went along. the hydro hut has 4 vents for intake/exhaust fans, as well as 3 vent flaps near the bottom allowing the ability to set up a passive airflow system.
had i gone with the system HTGSupply sells, i would have had to purchase an additional fan just to create my passive airflow system. instead, with the hydrohut, i purchased a 265 cfm inline fan hooked up to my carbon filter and cooltube reflector for my light :)

i'm not dissing the other model, i'm just laying out my reasons for purchasing one unit above the other. the great thing about HTGSupply is that they do in fact ship everything stealth. i decided that it was worth it to go through someone else on that purchase, knowing that i was giving up any stealthiness. the other model looks like it probably works just fine. but i'm anal about anything that i put a lot of time into, and want to control every single aspect of it. i don't second guess my decision to buy the hydrohut over that other unit.

1 Deluxe Rev 1
2 Originals Rev 2

Some things to keep in mind, if someone hasn't mentioned this already. You can't fit an AA 4x4 tray in any of the rev1 model. This may not evenbe relevant to you,but it was an unfornate surprise after assembly.

I think they're the best option available currently but they're not withou some initial hassle. i'm still trying to dial my setup in .

buy the original rev 2 if you have the space 54.5x54.5". I think they'r the most dynamic and hey will fit a 4x4 AA tray.
