Hey all, have a question. I've got a few goes under my belt. But, havin an issue w/ gals that are approx. 5-6 weeks into bloom. Happened this way in the same system for past few go rounds.

Heres the deal.... The pH is driftin down on a daily basis. Talkin a 5gal. res. and I am toppin off virtually every day now to keep ph above 5.5
It's goin down to 5.3, 5.2, and then I'll finally hit up with some UP. But not tryin to add more chemicals every day. THat has to be less than ideal.
Changin res. EVERY weekend, and the downward drift starts on bout Tues. and, havin to top off &/or add UP.

Any takers??

Specs: 12 site DIY ebb/flo & top drip combo. 4" nets pots. Hydroton & coco combo. (Though last goes were straight hydroton & had same issues, so not thinkin it's the coco).
Half & half w/ northern lights & ak's. Usin tecnafloras recipe 4 success 10 part nute system. Usin straight distilled aqua (yeah, I know I need an RO, fukn over haiulin that shit in weekly like a dam serf).

Thanks in advance. Even guesses are totally welcome!

Well, i just about a week ago moved them under a closer light. I had them 4ft under lights but then discovered that was WAYYYY to far away. Since moving them closer under some lights they have shown an 80% improvement from what they were.
I'm only growing 3 plants at the moment and may cut it down to just two.

well 2 cfls for 4 babies is not going to get you the strength of light to grow strong enough root systems/main stem to support any amount of bud. start off with 2 babies under the cfls and use a higher wattage. by 4 weeks your little ones should have at least a foot tall and fairl bushy due to cfls make the nodes grow lengthy reaching for a weaker lighting system.

So I've read a bunch of threads about doing this and still had a couple questions. I aquired 3 plants, all about 2ft tall and 2ft wide. They were a grown on an ebb and flow in rockwool and were delivered with a small rockwool cube placed on a larger one. I placed these directly into roots organic soil, covered them, just a thin layer of dirt over the top of the cube and placed in 5 gallon buckets under a 400w hps. I want to take them into flowering asap, but want them to be completely out of shock before going into flowering. today is the third day i've had them, and they are starting to droop a bit. I watered them once after transplanting....but am wondering if I should be watering the rockwool to keep it moist, as I'm just going by weight of the bucket for watering now. Also, when should I first add nutes(using RO as well). They are all green and healthy, I just want to see them stretch towards the light Any advice here?

Question about my hermy plant:

So my first grow of a single plant is about to end (8 weeks into flower, probably gonna harvest next week). The plant is actually a hermy but is 99% female, it only showed like 2 male flowers throughout all its flowering. However, when I clipped these off, it did get pollinated a little, and there's maybe 8 or so seeds I can see growing on it. What can I expect from these seeds if I choose to plant them next grow? Will they be feminised or just as random as any other seed. I'm pretty sure my plant hermied from stress and not naturally, hence why there were so few male parts. Thoughts?

What are the chances of successfully cloning by simply placing a cutting in dirt? With no dips or powders or anything, just a straight cutting into dirt?

And how long could it take for such a clone to get roots in and start growing at all?

a week should be long enough to get them over the stress

they could be hungry already; when your soils dry give em some

and +rep for doing your reading and knowing about the weight test

i only cloned once when i was practicing with tomatoes; but i just soaked the clone in a cup of water untill a little root showed and put it into soil and it worked out

it took like 5 or 7 days to see that first little root

Well prob no a good chance unless u can keep the soil warm, maybe in a small cup covered with clear wrap in keep in humidity

i have a:
veg= 1 1/2 ft X 2 ft (floor space)
flower= 3 1/2 ft X 2ft (floorspace)
4ft high

running
(1) 14W LED panel in veg
(2) 14W LED panel in flowering (stronger)
or
1 UFO in flowering
the lights will be housed in something that is not attached to the actually box. cuts outs will be made for them at top and they will be in their own housing with vents.

i was thinking of getting maybe 2 small computer intake fans for each side and make exhaust holes at the top of the chambers then have tubing that goes to a 4in exhaust with carbon filter.
would that be enough intake and exhaust?

dude, if your gals are in veg. you wanna shut down ALL lights for 24-36 hours. THen commence 12/12 after that. It really helps jumpstart bloomers. And makes most of 'em sex within a week.

I don't get what you mean with "after 12/12 do i just keep light on". Yeah, you run em 12/12 typically for 8 weeks dependent on strain & chop 'em.

you got a timer, or are you the timer (manual plug in & unplug?)
