IMG_4222.jpgIMG_4223.jpgIMG_4217.jpgWell, I was ready for rain, but not wind!! haha. I came out ok here atr the house, it blew 1 of my 3 carports over and flung it up against the house. It came apart, so it didn't bend anywhere! I can put it right back ,up if I want. I only had the blocks sitting on the feet, and it pulled the feet loose. Next time I'll attach em'. Like I said, I was ready for rain, but wasn't expecting so much wind, I should've known better. I'm going down to the other garden in a minute, to see what happem
ned down there. I cut most of the big stuff there, so anything torn up will just get pulled. I lost a lot last year in the first storm, and it really upset me, but this year, it, doesn't seem to matter. I havce plenty already harvested so if the rest gets wet...so what! I'll jusy cut it and hang it, no big deal.
I had 1 plant here that is several weeks from being done, that took a beating. The corner of the cover came loose and it got hammered. It's broken all the way down the main stem, every branch ripped almost loose. It might be hanging on enough to survive, we'll see.
So, how did you come outy??

IMG_4226.jpgIMG_4224.jpgIMG_4225.jpgok the big 6 made it with flying colors! I thought this would be everywhere this morning, but I got lucky. No damage, of course, they're only half the size they were. haha

damn man, atleast you pulled through well. The storm came down here this morning and I woke up to a downpour. I didnt cover my girls last night either, I only have two that I need to be worried about though, the rest of them are still young and wont hold enough moisture to cause any problems. Im just hoping the wind blows the storm out quick so the hot sunny skies can dry em out tomorrow.

The rain & wind blew my 14ft White Grape plant almost over. The buds are all stacked on top of each other & wet. It was very close anyway, I was just trying to let the buds get more purple. I'm taking her down today.

Ya i took a horrible beating as well. Got broken branches and plants falling all over the place. Its pretty upsetting. Ive got about 6-7 pounds trimmed up but i have at least that much still out their on the plants. I'm feeling like shit these last two days next year i'm only doing strains that finish in the few weeks of september.

Fuck this weather!

Horrible sight going outside this morning, a few plants even began uprooting out of the ground. The ones over 5 feet were knocked down pretty much but I managed to get them mostly back up, pulled a few. Branches snapped everywhere, some repairable. Colas are soaked, shook em out and hoping to not find any mold. I had just covered a few last night, it didn't matter though cuz the wind blew my cover right away. Looks like the suns coming out now.

A few more showers are supposed to come through this afternoon, and it's supposed to be gone after that. Sorry to hear about the losses, I was hoping to hear more good news than bad. After going through everything here, I ended up cutting 4 more plants down, and several more big branches that were broken. I didn't do too bad though really, it could've been much worse. I'll be ready to cut the rest by the time the next rain comes, so if I get through the rest of the day, I'll be happy.

So a few weeks ago, I purchsed a 9' x 9' sun shade canopy from Rite Aid...It was on Sale...50% off...So I paid a whopping $15 dollars for it...Happy to say, it's been taking a pounding in the rain and wind since the wee hours of the morning, and it's holding up like a champ...I half expected it to collapse on top of my garden, and I'm really amazed that it's held together at all...I wish all you outdoor growers the best in these last few ever-so-important few weeks!!

yes my plants too have taken a beaten. No broken branches just flopped all over the place
with branches and wet colas stacked on each other. Once the rain stops and the plants dry out will the branches
stand up again? Anyone know? They are indica plants.

they'll stand up some, but prolly not completely. As long as you get them from laying on each other you'll be fine.

Lost 2 Kush's that were in 35 gallon smart pots, things snapped at the base about 1 to 1 and a 1/2 lb plants the others are OK, 4 branches of the XXX Black Afghani and a few other's here and there. Not bad up in Trinity, son said only a few branches were broken and had to be taken off the plants. Found 5 buds with mold today, those were removed and will keep a close watch on the purple power plant. Hope to have all finished and hanging by Sunday or Monday at the latest.

I'm expecting to uncover tomorrow, and blow them off good with my back pack blower, and leave em' another week if the weather lets me. Next rain they will come down if they're not already.

gah, yeah I chopped a couple plants over yesterday, that wind really fucked em up, broken branches and laying nugs. :( on the bright side i was only about a week from harvest anyways, things were starting to amber up so its not a total loss. but still... :/
