Similar to what I was doing in the past, I would bring in Mmar patient, set them up with room and board on the farm. , in exchange for their labour I would teach them how to be self sustainable, and grow their own meds. I taught dozens of Mmar patients over the last 5 years.I always thought of starting a school, a 2 month course. You come stay at the farm and learn how to grow cannabis, this way they would pay me to learn, and also they would provide me with free labour. Win , win....you get educated, and I get free labour.

that's the thought i have...a bit more secure than tents though.
now my thoughts are on how to divide the rooms. you need veg/flower/dry sections
i now see there would have to be some kind of limit on the size. someone with 200 plants wouldn't need the same as a 50 person. maybe someone with a big plant count may have to rent more than 1 room....but if you knew how to grow, you might be OK with 12 plants period if you can grow them big
Yeah, I agree. I believe this was in a Rec state though. So everyone has the same plant count. It was all set up in a warehouse with a key pass system and employees there at all times Also they make these so you can do the whole run in the same tent: http://www.valleyindoor.com/product.php?productid=1412&cat=21&page=1

All the way up to sizes 4x8x7

That's awesome....you decide on a system?

So far just thoughts...top of my list is 2 x 4000w rooms with double ended bulbs in adjusta wings, 4 plants under each. Separate room for another 32plants in veg rotating a perpetual into flower every 30 days with a matching harvest. Brings me up to 64plants with 9 to spare. I got roughly 30-40 strains from attitude I'm going to test while saving what's good and killing off what's not. Most excited about the critical mass CBD and medi haze CBD. I got tons of genetics I'm going to make a thread in the journal section..to keep it simple and work out the kinks il be going with promix. Each light will be quite close to my floor joists plan on a finishing height of 5ft. Each light will cover a 5x5 and il have a automatic watering system...thinking of doing it in 4x8 beds with coco once I narrow down my strains that would be hell of a lot easier. I'm a big worry wart about RFI so worst case if I don't go with the 1000w gavita pro remote ballast il go magnetic and keep it simple for the time being. What are your thoughts? 20x20 flower space + 12x12 veg/clone space with a 73 plant count

I think if your going to do it you should do a 5 or 6 plant tent for a few reasons, If you have a hydro store front and a small back room with 2 4x4 tents, run 2 plant in each do 2 under a 600 in a dwc or some kind of hydro system, then 2 in coco or something in the other tent under a 600, my reason for a tent and plant numbers is simple

1 - Until it is legal if you only go 5 or 6 plants that would be a huge joke in the media if shit hits the fan, you could have a field day saying heck it was only 6 plants.

2 - most newbiews will most likely not want to build a room in their house, but they might throw up a 600watter in a tent.
3 - based on plant count in the states and in amsterdam, and based on the fact most euro seed companies started selling 5 packs, I predict that home grows will only be aloud no more then 6 plants in flower, so people need to learn to how to get pounds from a 600 and a few plants.

I am putting the finishing touches on a simple RDWC system, its part undercurrent part top feed RDWC, made out of simple parts mostly from lowes. I will post pics of it soon, I am getting a sensi star mom ready to take a few cuts, plan to drop 2 cuts in under 600, plan to harvest 1-1and a half P

I'm sticking with my mmar limits although I'm moving locations. Tired of the BS. Il have my date in court worst case...my buddy has a good defence lawyer so I may do something like that. I doubt 4000w is too much light for a 10x10?

If its vented I am sure you could cram that in, I would stagger if I was doing 4 lights 1hps,1mh, 1hps, 1mh in that order.

  1. Those gavita are a serious piece of gear. It's all I run now, paired with their el controller expect great things. Make sure that you maintain a min 3' space between your canopy and the fixture. If not I would suggest their 600w. You running a sealed room or a breathing room? I would also suggest a supplement uv source, mh, or t5. I like to run a 1000w mh vert. bulb dead centre of the room and 4 600w horizontal hps fixtures evenly spaced in the room, this will produce the best quality meds. In my opinion. Stay away from beds, give the roots their own individual homes. With 2 10x10 rooms and a veg room 5-10lbs a month isn't too far fetched.

You're not interested in hydro anymore?

I am I just want to narrow down the genetics il be using. I got clones from a few sources in the past and nothing but problems...too much time for a gamble like that. I would probably make my own undercurrent with 7gal buckets when the time comes. The room will have a 6 inch intake and 6 inch out take. Is this equipment too serious for the setup I'm talking about? Haven't seen them in real life but people boast results. What ballast do you use?

Why would you want to go vented when you have that 5ton A/C?

The 1000w gavita are a pro grade horticulture fixture, they are a monster. I'm using factory gavita combo (ballast, reflector, bulb) paired with their el controller (this is a really great compliment to the fixture). As long as you have the head room you can't beat the de fixture. These lights will push the limits on your plants, more light will require more food and more co2 to be truly efficient.

What's the volume of the room? L x W x H
I would suggest enough cfm in/out for a complete exchange every 1-2 min. 10x10x8 =800cubic feet. = 400-800cfm fan.

That's for another location me and my step dad are going to get going come next summer. Worst case if that falls through il sell it. He just got prostate cancer and he's been saying he wants to get a shop going for about 2 years now so I'm trying to make that happen for him. Scooped up that carrier 5ton for 500 bucks at a office auction so I can't loose.

See I was going to buy the remote gavita DE ballasts and run them in the DE adjusta wing. Total size is 20x20x8.5 chopped in half 10x10x8.5...I seen the concerns about those 400v bulbs but some correction is possible with a wider spread reflector
