ive tried horse manure in the past..i know its the best,but its hard to get around here....I used to get in 4rm ebay..so now i just use coco coir/coffee grounds....i wish i had a supply of horse manure..

thnkz...its very simply..and rewarding..as you can see,the shrooms grow EXTREMLY fast..they usually take me around 2-4 days from when the pins first appear to when theyr already mature and ready to harvest.....and its very low maintenance..its one of my other hobbies...that and eating them, ofcourseVery cool. I would like to start my own shroom grow eventually as well.Keep up the good work.

Looks good Juicy, not a bad flush for the size of the tray at all. So you've been using coco for awhile? I've thought about trying it, but I've read it prone to contams, and don't you have to add lime or something? I run my casings with colonized WBS, and vermiculite. 50/50 mix let it colonize, then case with less then a 1/4 inch of dry verm, and mist. I've only been doing it since like the first of the year, everything I've done is in my journal in my sig line. Just thought I'd share some pics with ya.
These are some South Americans that just finished last week. The next flush is almost done already, and its even bigger!
These next 2 pics are the last flush and the first flush from my first Koh Samoi tray. They are my favorite strain I've grown yet, they kinda changed my life!
These are some Burmas I tryed, only got one flush before they contamed, and it was weak, literally, not very potent. I'm not gonna be growing them again any time soon I don't think.
Lol, and finally the 4th strain, which was from russia, called Ereal. They were very sweet good quality, and quantity.
So I just thought I'd share too. Hope you guys enjoy!! I sure have, lol! TC

very nice man..those are sum big ass shrooms...as for coiir being more contam..its actaully one of the least contam substrates you can use..and i dont use lime ,just spend coffee grounds for added nitrogen...this tray was an experiment..i didnt use ANY type of sterilty..didnt past the coir...NOTHING..i juse poured some colonized wbs on the dirty tray,then some handfuls of some unpasteurized coco coir on top as my casing layer..then i didnt even cover the tray,just placed it in a dark,dirty kitchen cabinet....it got some cobweb mold but when i placed the tray in my window sill../the mold went away...I wanted to see just how resileint and easy growing shrooms is..and I was proven right.....the tray was fruited in my windowsill...left to dry out a few time.s.and i misted with water whenever i wanted to....
well..look how well they grew..no contams,no fuss....
