I hate to offend further cuz I was kind of a dick yesterday.

It seriously sounds like you are new-ish to weed and are getting crappy stuff.

When you talk about buying it by the gram and "mids" and "shwag". Its easy to see you live in a non medicated state, are likely young, and are simply smoking some bunk.

If properly cured it should always be nice, dry, dense nugs. I haven't seen any of the "fluffy light green" stuff since like 2000 in Florida.

Yeah it doesn't look quite like that but I know it's the best quality I can reasonably obtain. I'm not all that exp with medical strains though.

I didn't mean to brag or say that you can't get good shit else where. I have no doubt there is fire avail across most of the nation. Chances are the bud dude is gettin for 20 a g, pretty much the highest price you will ever pay for flowers anywhere, is sub par and grown by some dude semi-local that doesn't know how to or doesn't care enough to properly care for the cannabis.

I'm just sayin to the op, look for a better supply perhaps or be more discriminating. I sympathize as I grew up in Fla where the weed pretty much shit unless you pay out the ass or buy in bulk. Until 6 months ago I was driving 90 min each way to pick up my weekly 2oz for $600 and it took me literally years to find a hook up that high quality at such a low price. It was coming from CO most of the time so I just decided to fucking move here, lol. I wont even tell you what I can get 2oz now for, and it blows away any of the shit that was makin its way to Fla.

Perhaps that's why I come across the way I do(besides my already dickhead personality) I'm overzealous to after 15 years to finally feel free. lol.

Yea that's about right for the top shelf, lil higher at the better places. However if your frugle, you can still get bud that would sell for $120/q on the east coast for like 500/qp.

Personally, I like variety so I'll get several quarters for around 80-90 of the best I can find around. Then I have my membership at a place that has really good member pricing on top shelf(but not BOMB shelf) level stuff and I'll go on the special discount days and go before 11 to get the early-bird and stock up on what I call the junt weed. Last time we got a half each of very frosty grape stomper, blue cheeze, golden goat, and some high cbd stuff I can't remember the name. Total 2oz for like $250 after tax.

She is a member at a really, really, nice shop tho(at my request for their bho). She likes to buy their "display" jars, which they sell for 15% off after they run out of the stuff in the back. It's actually the best looking of the lb I imagine but I've found its too dried out by the time they sell it.

Anyway, sorry for the rant. Its that Abusive OG shatter.

I imagine come Jan Washington will start to shape up the same way. Sounds like a better deal for me all around anyways. Hopefully I can be there by next christmas. I'd love to actually be able to know and understand the strands I'm getting. I'm very much a beer snob and I know good weed but I want to have that intimate relationship with it when you can grow and smoke your own fire, ya know/

Yea dude, for sure. I'm not sure, but I think WA has had MMJ for a while already so it should be similar to Ca, Or, Co, etc. Also, like I said, be on the look out for better supply in your area, just be catuious as I'm assuming you live somewhere that has strict laws. Otherwise I'd suggest growing, for a light smoker with a lil bit of brains, growing a plant or two for yourself is prob the best option.

A break will always help out for a period of time. You could also switch to a different strain... I smoked this Organic Chocolate alllll day but it just kept me at the same level; I needed a more indica-heavy strain to really put me where I WANTED to be and in the TYPE of high I wanted to HAVE. That will def work too, but requires you to actually think about why you're smoking weed. Vape it, it's better and tastes better. 3) You can smoke some concentrates. Better yet, eat a heavy freakin edible beforehand; delicious. GL

Update: Picked up a new strain and tried it with my new vapolution. It took some fiddling, some burnt smoke and some reading to get it working right and now that i have WOW.

Pretty baked. I've never vaped before but I used tiny little nugs and got a whole lot out. Im glad this solved my problem. Seems the solution "Smoke more" won. It's a fair piece of equipment and I can't think of anything I don't care for about it. It's nearly foolpoof.

As for growing...Lets just say my living situation makes that impractical and leave it at that. Something I wouldn't have to worry about in washington. Im eager to be able to grow within the law.

Nice... remember that vaping leaves out caginogens that suck but also affect the high (in positive and negative ways) so vaping will make you feel "different". Once I've vaped a bit too much, I'll smoke a bowl and it'll fuck me up. Also play with the vaping temps - lighter temps burn THC while higher temps burn CBDs and then CBNs so you can literally tune your high. Save your duff/ kiff/ vaped bud for cooking - it won't get you super "high" but it'll knock you on your ass for a niiice nap. Happy vaping

Tell me more about cooking with vaped bud. I've been loading and just smoking it. After a few little buds vaped I just jam them in my pipe, they light up and I only get a few hits out of the dry ass brown buds. How much would I need to actually be able to cook with it and get something out of it?

As for the temps. I use a vapolution and I turn it on high to get it hot but I keep charring my smoke because I guess I'm not waiting long enough for the heater to cool from being preheated. How long do you recommend after readjusting from preheat to put the bowl in?

Sup MJN: With vaped bud/ duff/ kiff you just make regular canna-oil or canna-butter like you would with fresh mary-jane. It'll smell nasty and has a "smoked cannabis" flavor to it but the taste goes really well with certain foods; especially chocolate or peanutbutter-chocolate. Duff-Oil is a big couch lock party. I probably use a little more than an ounce of duff - as much as you can really... just save it in a jar and use it when the jar is full. My new favorite canna-oil method is to throw the bud in a crockpot on low, pour in enough oil to cover half of the buds, add enough water to cover the buds. Cook for two days. Strain into a mason jar and throw into the fridge overnight. The next day, the oil will float to the top and the water will sink to the bottom; then you siphon/ turkey baste out the water and you're left w/ dank oil for super super cheap. I make foods, chapsticks and balms with it.

As for the vapolution; I have the volcano so I don't know bro. You gotta be patient with vaping, it's healthier and takes more time. Start at a low-ass temp, TASTE the essential oils of the cannabis, then raise the temps a bit more on each bag or every few whip rips; you'll get more and more thc (euphoria, check), as you continue to raise it you'll get cbd's (no pain, check), then into cbns. It's a roller-coaster, not a dunking booth. You dig what I'm saying?

Yeah after you mentioned it I looked it up and most people are calling for about a z of duff and I just don't smoke that much. That much duff would take an eternity for me to gather smoking 3-4 grams a week ya know? I just wanna chuck two grams of duff into some brownies and hope for the best lol. I'm saying I'd like some much smaller recipes that call for far less duff, even if it's just firecrackers (Anyone know if Duff works with firecrackers?)

As for the vaporizing, I'm still new and I'm still learning it. I tend to get impatient and crank the heat too early because I'm not getting much vapor then boom, fried bowl. I've only had the vapolution about two days, and I've never vaped before. I'll take your advice in mind but everytime I try to smoke it low I get no vapor and expended bud.

Thanks for all the pointers, I'll get her dialed in in no time.

That's what most people do....edibles are kinda......eh

Make hash first, most efficient way...but you could boil in coconut oil if your lame...so make some qwiso and put on double boiler decarbing it precisely....once the carboxyl group is gone there are no more boubles..slowly dissolve hot coconut oil into it until saturated..when it cools its a solid, so put it in capsules 00 size, while warm....

Most efficient way to decarb and accurately dose while making the most use of small amounts......

I thought about making hash with 90% iso, some pyrex and strainers. What would be the min duff to get anything worthwhile in your opinion?

Average is 10% yield unless using really good bud then in the high teens is possible...so 3 grams of bud
It may seem like a lot..and it is, edibles kinda waste but the high lasts a lot longer so it kinda works out ..and it is a different high..delta 9 is converted to 11..

Yeah i've made brownies before with a crockpot and oil. Edibles take you to outerspace man, you just use so much cooking them and then poof, all your edibles are gone.

So you think I can use a gram of duff to make some has with iso? That'd be super cool cause I have about that now. I'll get some gear next payday and just make my AVB into hash.

So far with the vape it starts good but I only get four or five hits before it turns gross and cashed. Frugal thing that I am, I smoke it til It stops or I cant handle it anymore lol.
