why are my plants so small

Well I see a lot of pics of plants that are 3 times bigger and a lot bushier than mine that have been growing half the time as mine and I was wondering why? Hers a pic of mine at 2 months...I always keep my oh at 5.8-6.2 and my res temp at 60-68f. Please tell me what I need to do? Also I change out my res every 2 weeks. And I use floraduo from general hydroponics parts a and b with a strong grow blend. My seeds came from a bag of pot so I don't know the strainer. This is my first time growing so I'm just looking for help. Thanks.

What are your lights? (your plants look healthy, so I think it's the lights)

Can you replace the tin foil with mylar?

Firsttimehydrogrower: How old are your babies? You seem to be doing everything right, but you're growing an unknown strain in a miniature table top growing system so it stands to reason you won't be getting 'red woods size plants.' Be grateful that your plants look healthy. I hope you have a seven holes "Classic model" or better. I would suggest that if you have the three lamp hood on your A/G with the 24" arm/light stand, and you keep the lights 1" to 2" above the tops of your plants as recommended by A/G, they'll get bigger. There's nothing wrong with A/G's lights. What light schedule are you using? Tomatoes? That's the 18/6 schedule and probably the best for what we're growing.

You might want to consider some aimed Mylar covered reflectors to recycle the dissipating light you already paid for back up to the lower portions of your plants that will soon be shaded. If you bought a two lamp, six hole 'Space Saver' A/G model unfortunately you didn't do your homework and you got what you paid for. I hope that helps. If all else is well, patience grasshopper. in my opinion they look stunted check your res or room temps also when younger have they suffered over watering? if so maybe they have recovered slightly but may be perminantly stunted?
