You know the tops going to be the largest buds so wouldnt cure these 1st letting the buds below grow a week or 2 more before cut them Traveling down this way Till the plants gone ?

Why CAN'T you?

I'd argue that cutting the entire plant down, as opposed to harvesting individual flowers when they are EACH ready for harvest, is asinine. I am not aware of ANY other growers taking this approach with their plants besides cannabis growers.

"Yo dude, when should I chop my tomato plants for harvest...."

I can kind of see both sides of it... I like to fractionally harvest but I try to keep it down to two segments, maybe 3 maximum, because things get confusing trying to keep track of what is where in the drying and curing process when you break up the harvest into too many variables. This might not apply if you run single strains but I tend to run 4-6 strains so it's a lot of different jars and a lot to keep track of in the drying rack.

I mean it could be done "easily enough" in theory, harvesting by the flower, but the way I'm set up it is easier to take big portions at once for drying. The bud I harvest is inevitably not all exactly the same ripeness but I am careful to only take what is solid and leave behind fluff to harden up. This proves good enough for me.

I did that with my first grow cause there were literally hundreds of little bud ( two month veg topped once) sites down low that were still a little too fluffy and it was also too much to trim at once so they ended up being in there about a week or so after the tops were cut.It worked out pretty good although the trichs were optimum when I first cut the tops and by the time i got the rest there was a tremendous amount of amber.
