As a South African I have to say there are many generalisations in your experience.
I have worked and studied with black colleagues, who did not only get better marks sometimes but also did more subjects at the same time... I'm pretty smart.

Point acknowledged.. and along those lines, I also noticed similar examples when I was in High School, although I always found them to be the exception. In general, the African kids felt 'forced' to be there, and they behaved accordingly. Makes me think... if only we had a bigger black middle class in South Africa, there would be much less problems. I can only pray that time will create one before the entire world sees us reason for

Middle class and higher people tend to get along regardless of race as there is little competition for scarce resources.

The lower you go the quicker we settle for; they stole our jobs, or women or whatever. Something my dad taught me is that us privileged folks, have the most to gain by the emancipation of our countrymen. As it is only then we will be free, and they equal.

Tell me, in your opinion, do you believe that African people can build and maintain a country or a group of cities?
What is your opinion on the disintegrating South African economy?
What is your opinion on Maputo, Harare, Lusaka, Luanda, Lagos, and the state in which those cities are?

Without a doubt, the problem is one that was created in the past. So, today the only ones that get to lead are ones who are willing to use subterfuge, disinformation and violence/or the threat of violence.
But within the people I have met at corporate level, absolutely, yes.

Yes, if our countrymen faired better, there would be less finger pointing at us, not from them, but from the international community. If there is less demonising of whites, then we fair better, and we don't have to worry about loosing rights.
