Why do people bitch about helping newbies??

I don't under stand why people say stupid shit like " oh I'm sick of holding newbies hand walking them threw there grow bla bla bla". We I thought that is what this was fo asking for help or advice sharing ideas and experiences. So if you don't want to help some one or give advice the DON'T . But don't waste your time reading the post AND REPLYING " go read a book" instead of just answering the question. People have to start somewhere. And sometimes reading it in a book and doing or seeing it for yourself could be challenging. And Once again I THOUGHT THAT IS WHAT A FOURM WAS FOR. DON'T READ THREADS YOU DON'T WANT TO ANSWER !! Instead of being rude maybe give people some advice help or encouragement. Don't waste your time writing stuff like "we can't grow your plants for you" or "go read a book". I have seen more of that than people just answering?????

OK, here's a new one for ya..
Do you have "spell check"?
I think a lot of what you're commenting about is the 'regulars' here, not always "seniors", but sometimes 'juniors' or just 'drinkers' like me, that simply click a thread expecting to help somebody, then come to find it is a common sense question asked by a 13 year old kid hiding his plant in the basement, or just a lazy person that doesn't want to take the time to research anything and just wants the info hand fed to them, like this-
One of the things I use forums for is to save time and actually avoid doing research. I feel pretty good about it.
After you have been here a SHORT time, you will find that there ARE a lot of people here willing to help, and very friendly, but at the same time, patience only goes so far.
And, for that matter, what is this thread doing in the newbie section?
Does it have anything to do with growing?

@ Bakatare666 I agree 100%. Its not so hard to do some reading in 15 min. before asking some super 101 Questions. Were all here to share and learn but c'mon, some people really just want it handed to them in 120 words or less and a sticky note for there bedroom closet door...LOL . @ bartow; If your trying to save time then you really picked the wrong hobby. Maybe speed is more your thing. :wall: *PUN*. Personal Perfection is gained only through confidence and determination..... and friends like us to help guide... not fuckin drive for you. Google is now a word in the dictionary... "Google it" dont panhandle it. Peace from the 509!

I and a few others posted Bartow's quote after that one week, and haven't seen him since.
Thankyou.
I am glad that there are some newer people than myself to this site, that use it as a "help/ communicate" forum, rather than a "GIMME because I am LAZY" forum.
When I joined this site last July, I read, read, and read some more, because I didn't want to be the guy that had a post asking what 30 people had already asked this week.
It wasn't my first plant, but it was my first encounter with the problem.
I'm not special, right??????
So, common sense dictates that somebody has asked the question before me.
SIMPLE in my opinion.

I'm willing to help in most cases but even a kind heart like myself gets sick of the same questions posted over and over again. Not any questions, but basic ones. Ones that newbies should be learning from reading on their own. Some questions are so simple the poster could of just entered that same info in google search and got the info they needed.
I also think after awhile veterans or those who know what they are talking about just get sick of repeatedly giving out the same info over and over much like a new poster asking basic questions that have been asked over and over already. I think in the beginning I enjoyed helping anyone, now I just avoid most help titles unless the title states something specific that's worthy of a response.
I agree though that nobody should be leaving replies that tell a poster their question is stupid, if someone is not going to leave a helpful response they shouldn't leave anything at all. I've been guilty of this I think just once, I snapped on someone who was asking "is it done yet?" outside of the harvesting section.

Like every internet forum there are assholes, trolls, haters ect. ect. This is a great site, and odds are anyone will find a good person or persons to help them when they ask. I don't believe there are more people leaving nasty comments then there are helping.

That being said, here, you will get better answers sooner/ faster here than on other sites.

Yeah, that tends to happen when vets go out of their way to help noobs, only to be berated for their answers by that same or even different noobs.

I've definitely noticed it on the hydro board.

A clown ass noob will have one or two soil grows under their belt and then they go onto the hydro board and try to answer questions like they know what they're talking about.

One tiny example, just the other day a noob said "the only way you can use beneficial bacteria in hydro is if you make a tea"..............like holy fucking shit that's as wrong as it gets.

That was in response to me calling him out because he said, "you can only use beneficial bacteria in organic soil".

Again, blatantly fucking wrong.

And THAT was in response to me calling him out because he said, "you can only use Advanced Nutrient's Bud Candy with other Advanced Nutrients' products"..............again, blatantly fucking wrong.

It gets tiring arguing with stupid. Especially when you get nothing out of it.

So it's just easier to say, "read a book".

So it's hard to help a brother out?... What cracks me up, seriously, is people who tell newbies that their ph is off. Haha fn ha !! Really? The newbies ph is off? I fucking doubt it. Look a little harder. You'll figure it out with just a couple questions :):):)

^ I'm not sure if that was in response to me or not. I was simply proposing my explanation to the topic creator as to why he often sees those specific responses.

When I first started to use this board I had never used anything like it before. I didn't know how to look up things from past posts and just reading everything was over whelming. Maybe you don't know how to look for some answer your looking for. If ya stay around you will find help and friend ship as well.

Hey now, I'm quite helpful as long as it's not abused/taken for granted, or someone -brand new- to growing tells me that tried/true techniques older than their parents are 'wrong'. :P

So i have 2 sour kush fem. seeds, and want too grow them. What do i need to grow and how much will i yield???????

This is the shit i really cant stand on here. I usually wont respond at all to a newb who is too lazy to help themselves. Let them figure it out themselves. I dont like telling them to read a book. Its pointless and wont get through their head......

Just yesterday, coupled with the night before, there was two or three exact threads:

"Is it time to flush yet?"

Really Serious, you want to flush? Then pull the handle....

Flush my avatar... LMAO...

Really... Flushing... Everyday ? There's probably a new flushing thread this morning...

If you don't have a basic knowledge of plant cultivation, no amount of forum advisory will help you, and this wastes everyone's time.
Research the grow for a phase I would call pre-grow. Spend at least a week actively gathering information, a month preparing your growing area, minus upgrades. If you don't prepare, you're going to waste everyone's time.
People who obviously haven't prepared should be told that they need more information.

Agreed, and after chatting a bit with the OP - can tell you she has much more than the basics down in terms of horticulture background as a whole, with a solid grasp on cannabis growing too.
