Unfortunately, I've never gotten it to work. I've even copy-pasted exact words from a post I was just reading, just to make sure I got the exact spelling... no matches found.

Oh well, this forum has still been a great resource; just reading through stuff randomly.
Maybe someday it'll work though.

its been broke for a minute now.... you can still search tags, as already mentioned.. works fairly well, still not as good as the search though:-?

I've wondered that myself, but being new to the boards, I figured I was just missing something obvious and was a bit embarrassed to ask, lol.

Works fine for me... Advanced search, thrad title only... perfect everytime...

Let's say you want to search for miracle grow soil, don't just type that, type it like this... "miracle grow soil" that way it will search for the whole thing, not just words...

go to google. For a CFL search type in...

CFL site:rollitup.org

even if they fix the search button I will probably use google. It is amazing.

I was just going to post that, lol.

you can use the "site:" thing for any site as well guys.

I always use google and search this way because it simply is a much more powerful search engine than what most message boards are using to search their own archives.

Also, "use your words" when searching, meaning that just because you click "search" doesn't mean it will find it for you. Key words, combinations of words, different spellings of a word, abbreviations, even slang plays well in a search. My wife will seach google for 15 minutes looking for something, get pissed and ask me to help. I usually can find exactly what it is she wants within a search or two, even if I know very little about it.

just like I was wanting to know the distance that a metal halide should be from the tops of the plants while vegging, so I typed......

metal halide distance site:rollitup.org and I had more results than I needed for my answer to say the least, and I was also familiar with the website they were coming from, since I hand picked it.

what happens when stoners run a forum lol just joking yea i cant get it to work
yep thats what i've been doing, works great. even without the site: bit, RIU seems to be the first thing found most times. also just try searching in the tags part of the advanced search, that still seems to work for me
