why is my HPS is white an not orange

Hi my hps has been out of use for a few weeks while I setup my next grow an I finally did an when I turned on my hps it was white so I thought id give it 30mins to warm up but still no orange glow. The bulb has only been used for a month so should be ok and it used to have the sexy orange glow... any ideas guys

It may aged well and become richer in flavours and color.

white compaired to what? do you have another hps that is different in color? bulbs do get old and have a rated "hrs of use" before they degrade. how old is it?

It used to be orange an its been used for 1 month before I put it away.

I tuk it out for crop 2 and now its a white glow

well it's fucked, buy a new one.

Never had a HPS that wasn't that annoying orange. It seems to be toast.

its actually somthing to do with my reflector :/ i put the HPS bulb in one of them cheap reflectors you get in a shit kit and it worked with the orangey glow and that but seems to now want to glow orange in my more expensive powerplant one

some of those cheep bulbs you need to replace every harvest, junk. buy a quality bulb like a hortilux sun master . digilux they will last a year. # 1 hortilux # 2 sun master # 3 digilux # 4 sun pulse.

Hortilux bulbs were rated the best. I can't believe your bulb would be beat after one grow. The only real way is to use a light meter to see if it has changed but since you didn't measure before you have no way to compare

Digital Ballast flick the switch to HPS ...or return to shop either way you force use to shoot in the dark and there is NO pic

Use it as a backup and buy a new eye hortilux super hps. That profile pic is pretty hot. I'd rip them panties off and go to town right about now lmao.
