Why Republicans are effing morons by Jack Handy

So quite a thread I got going here, no real rebuttal, any republicans want to attempt to explain how you can maintain a free market when there is a government or rather how can you even have a truly free market so long as a government exists?

This is the main failure in the Republican philosophy, they advocate for a government and free market at the same time, then they point to the constitution or early America, well the fact is we have never had a truly free market and you can never have one so long as a government exists.

So now if they aren't going to go back to that tired old thing they are going to blame liberals, the other 'big government' advocates. I can go on about liberals/democrats all day and the failings of that philosophy but lets focus on this one.

Nobody has addressed it because you are simply wrong...

Without government, a free market cannot exist. Without government you have anarchy. Because there are no established laws there is no equality and thus no free trade.

Free trade in the pure sense cannot exist but I have yet to hear of any republicans nor any libertarians demand that.

So, you have created a false argument and attacked it. Congratulations...

Not for your hero Eric Holder. According to him almost 800 years of case law is junk.

But you go ahead and vote Obama.
if you're overly concerned, just don't move to the middle east, join al qaeda, and actively plot against the united states of america, and you'll be fine.

Too bad there's no proof of any claims you make.

Because this stuff best be done in secret. History shows it's only high quality leaders that behave like this though, obviously.

Thats the foreign policy Obama put in place and now Ambassador Stevens is dead. Time for a change. Time for a president that will accept responsibility, not blame the previous administration for all its failures. Time for Paul Ryan and romney

Well, we know Obama has due processed folks already, we don't know or have any proof they were ever terrorists. So I'm not sure why you keep repeating that.

What makes it useless babble is saying that the right wants "big government"... that equates to verbal asshattery as we all know nothing could be further from the truth.

Edit: also I pointed out it came from Jack Handey to be an asshole, the OP put jack handy, which sounds like something I used to get in high school.
Sadly you are mistaken. They say they want less government but every time one is in charge government gets bigger. It's called "talking out of both sides of your mouth". Meaning the GOP of course. They say one thing and then do the opposite while denying it. Republicans are morons.

To be fair, I can't recall any viable political faction reduce the scope of government in a major way. I think it is the norm for regulatory agencies to write ever increasing regulations, if nothing else, but to ensure their jobs.

I have always thought that, generally, correcting someone's spelling and grammar is the equivalent of saying that whatever you've written, its worth reading without the distraction of typos.

So how does government create "free trade" and how can their be a "free market" when government is intervening and changing the market?

There are limitations to free trade. Can you trade people or children???

The government provides a safe environment for free trade and certain restrictions to allow the playing field to be fair. However, the government can also make the playing field unfair.

Things like Ethanol subsidies alter the market forces.

Things like grants to green energy projects like Solyndra make the playing field unfair.

Things like demanding the banking system issue a certain percentage of low income loans make the playing field unfair.

Those are the types of things that manipulate the market.

NL,
Providing a "safe environment" can be done by private entities and much more efficient.Government is accountable to no one.Private companies are accountable to their investor.Government has all citizens as an investor,it's accountable to all,but no one
