Why So Long To Flower?

Today is the 18th day of flowering and I am Just now seeing the white hairs or pistals from my females why is this???

totally natural, after you tell em to flower bt switching to 12/12 the plant has to make hormones to flower, typically the males show sex appox 1-2 weeks before the females, once you notice the hairs then you start your count for the 8-12 week 12/12 cycle,and also ecpect a big difference in growth. my plant were appox 10 inches when going into 12/12 they were 3 feet tall with appox 20-25 nodes 3-4 weeks later. I beleive thats due to the 12 hours of darkness. Plants (marijuana) tends to soak up more nutes at night then duining the light on phases. i actually tested that. i measured my plant the split sec lights came on then appox 5 mins before they went off...no height change......but they grew appox 1/4-1/2 inch over that night span. so when going to 12/12 the plants veg growth will accour mostly at night, as far as the buds im not sure if they form in darkness/ligh or both, never really tried to test that theory, happy growing---------420

i agree. depending at the point which you chose to induce flower, the plant may not have been fully matured. the plants nodes change from symmetrical to alternating when it is mature.
