Wierd Green Gelato

Ok so it is RQS Green Gelato.
It was underwatered a bit.
It's been pretty hot in there but not extreme.
The one on the right is a Bruce Banger.
WTF? Any thoughts? Is this genetic or something or did I mess up?

The green gelato was significantly smaller than the Bruce B before they went into flower.
