Only the low ranking are held accountable when they choose to break rules apparently. Stanley McChrystal's isn't a counter example, he got himself fired obviously by intention, either that or his civilian oversight didn't appreciate his winning ways. Bradley Manning is a traitor, but his commander was just stupid. This kind of stupidity is the problem, not Gay soldiers.

One could say those who have subverted the Constitution and now support domestic terrorism by government such as warrantless stops etc. are the "traitors".

Who is going to hold them accountable?
Lemmings that continue to jump off cliffs won't will they? I do not believe in the initiation of violence, but it is sad to think that eventually tyranny dissolves into violence. Of course initiating force and the use of violence to ensure compliance are at the core of governemnt's philosophy.
