will a yeild alot more with an extra light?

iv got 7 plants under a 600watt i got another 600watt spare , would my plants yeild twice as much with the extra light or would it be a waste of electric?

i dont know know about 2times as much but you would yeild more becuase you would get more light coverrage

depends on the size of the plants, if they are bush's than yes you prolly wanna add an extra light but if their one straight stalk then i would stick to one 600 watter

assuming about three square feet of floor space per adult plant gives you 9,000 lumens per square foot with both lights. recommended light is 7,000 to 10,000 lumens per square foot, so you're short quite a bit of light with only one 600 watt light. yield goes up directly with wattage, within reasonable limits, so you could expect to almost double your yield all other things being equal. you're probably going to need to improve your ventilation.

I have a question for you all(Sorry for partial Hijack) kinda ties in.. Just for future reference I was wondering if it is bad to implement a lot more light at certain times of day in the veg stage, say if you didn't want to run that electricity all the time but wanted to add a little extra light in there
