will any of these lights work for a uvb light???

I've pretty much said what everyone else that's bothered to look at the light will say.

Most growers on this forum don't use UV supplement light anyways, HID bulbs emit enough as it is generally.

go to HTGsupply.com and look at there flourescents. 60 bux for 4, 2 foot floro tubes. 2 red 2 blue. 160Watts of each

mh have alot of uv light right? is this the right kind of light to = a uv light run only 30m x3 a day during flowering ???

uv=thc right???

All gas lights, even filament halogen lights, emit UV. This is why digital photographers still use old non-gas tungsten filament bulbs, as UV screws with your digital camera sensor. my T5s emit UV.

ya the lights kinda work the woork relly good for veg and growth but not for budding the buds turn out small but im going to try a nother light by exo terra more for plant groth than a uvb light ill let u know if it works if this was a waste of time sorry.

hps and mh bulbs do emitt uvb light but if you have your light in a vented hood with a glass sheild u will loose almost all of the uvb, as any glass reflects uvb, therefore it looses its uv benefits.it has been proven that plants with good levels of uvb will be more potent because the plant uses resin production as a gaurd against uvb rays.hope this helps.
