will carbon filter do anything with air cooled reflector

hi all this grow i plan on buying a carbon filter cause last grow stunk so bad im suprised no one noticed im dmb fot not buying it then. but my question is if i get an air cooled reflector i only have one inline fan the one i plan on gettin has the option for two slots if u buy the flanges but i guess can only use one hole, its on htgsupply. so if i hook up the carbon filter to the inline fan and suck the hot air out from the hood is it gonna do anything for the smell since its in an enclosed reflector with tempered glass and the stench is in the grow tent not in the reflector thats only getting hot air suck out
