Will it still grow?

A couple days ago I started to germinate some seeds using the paper towel method. Well yesterday I checked them and they were ready to be placed in soil. When I was doing so the tip of a one the seed's tap root broke off. I still planted it hoping it will grow. It was only about a couple cm of the tip from 1/2 inch root. Has anyone had any similar experiences that could let me know whether to grow it or forget it. thanks

It may still grow. That's why I don't do the paper towel method anymore. Just chuck that baby in soil or a rapid rooter in the first place. I think the paper towel method was developed by someone who was just too impatient to see their seed sprout. My seedlings turn out much stronger since I root them in the medium that they will grow in.

Thanks for the info!! I just checked the seed an it sprouted, hopefully nothing goes wrong during veg.
