Will moving plants in direct sun light for a day help?

Those are inside getting window light. That is different than going from cfl to outside in the full hot sun. The glass in that window filters uv.
True, my windows would filter the sun to a degree but I have friends that place them on outdoor decks and have no issues, but I guess it depends where you live...big differnce between Alaska and Alabama

IMO, it's important to introduce them to the sunlight at a young age, and keep an eye on them, as I have seen them react by drooping if the sun is too intense, but the majority of time they do just fine

I'll stand by my original statement. Started from seed it is fine. Grow one under cfl for weeks and throw it out in the sun and it will wilt over.

I'm sure location and time of year make a difference to. It is better to be safe and the first couple days just let them have an hour or two a day until harden.

I totally disagree...but then again I have no idea where you live

Disagree all you want. First its a pic and I call bullshit and now Its "I got friends that do it."

What ever man. I provided links from gardening sites that say yhou have to harden plants off.

You are so worried about not looking wrong that you may cause someone to kill plants.

Its not that I like to argue. Its I have a problem when someone makes a statement that can cause others to harm their plants.

Be 100% honest. Have you ever grown a plant strictly under cfl for a few weeks the put it out in the direct hot sun?

The ones that do it, do it from seed. I do it myself with autos sometimes to increase yield.

That will be the end of it.

Have a good one.

If you have plants growing indoor under CFL's at room temp, and you move them outside for a day in direct sunlight at 60 degrees(probably hotter since the sun will give heat to the plants), will this benefit the plant in any way?
Anyways.

Yes, it is good for them but there are downsides. The first being you need to harden the plant. A hour or two in the morning and evening sun for a couple days will do it. The second being stretch come flower time. If you can go the whole time giving it sunlight that would be good. If you give it a lot of sun in veg and none in flower and just flower indoors it will cause the plant to stretch more than usual.
