Will my plants grow in a dark closet with 1 (50watt) grow light?

(will my plants grow in a closet with 1) 50watt grow light? i wanna know b/c the ones 1 ft tall now and its near a window with a 50watt grow light. im getting worried im gunna get caught but i think luck is on my side (got a fortune cookie that says out of the lucky you are the chosen one) enyway everytime i hear i siren i get paranoid too. the walls in my closet are shiney and stuff if that helps.

is your bulb an incandescent? if so, that's dumb, get a cfl

we need to know what kind of light it is. is it just a light bulb? cfl?
i would still say no it probably wont do good in a dark closet with 1 light bulb on it. do you only have 1 plant? you should go to the hardware store and get a little cfl setup. get the splitters and do it that way. it shouldnt cost you too much although i'm not as familiar with CFL growing as some people on this forum, so if you're serious about getting your plant to grow you should read up on CFL growing.

if you live in the uk you dont have to worry about police sirens, if they are after you they wont put their siren on they will just come through your door at 5 in the morning! but not if your growing just a few plants for yourself only if your dealing. Dont know what would happen in the US. Anyway, dont worry about that just invest in some lights, and good luck.

If the cops was coming for you, they wouldnt have the sirens on.

I only have 1 13watt cfl and a 66 watt blue spectrum for a week old plant is that enough

guys all you have to do is read a few threads on here about lighting and you wont waste your time asking if 1 13 watt cfl is enough...geez...i'm new too but come on some things are just obvious. these are plants that grow on an earth covered by sun, they need light.

I know that Im just asking if my plant will die due to weak lighting situation until I go get some bigger cfls

Just my 2 cents, but yeah. If your plant is only a week old you can get away with the 13 watt bulb for now but you need to update your lights as soon as possible. Get a couple more CFL's and you should be OK to start out with. You might want to switch over to a small HPS light to flower, but you dont have to. I've seen a couple nice buds come from CFL's. I wouldn't use them on a big plant though.

Yea I'm goin 50/50 with my friend. I'm gettin some good cfls along with fans and he's gettin the hps for flowering. I'm only growing around 2 or 3 plants in a fairly tight closet setup so i figure I'd get a 150 hps

yeah bro they have a pretty nice cfl at lowes i was looking at yesterday it was 16 bucks and was a daylight 6500k 300watt output.

Just a little FYI, growing with a "friend" usually ends up in a bad situation. Ur prob better off taking a bit longer to get lights and chit and doing it alone.

I grow 2 plants with 2 x 30 watt bulbs.......just very slow growing!
I don't suggest it unless that is all you can get away with.....

Flood lights are mostly used outside to cover a large area.
The light is spread out to cover a large area.

Not sure of their usage in pot growing.
Tell me if it works, I got a lot of them......
