no, they won't be enough. sure, for the first 2-3 weeks of vegging or even for the entire vegging period, it might be enough, but you'll seriously decrease yeald with so little light.

If you don't want to get some HPS bulbs, at least get another 7 cfls for flowering.

If your gonna use cfls it should be two bulbs per plant at least. More for flowering. The more lumens of light, the higher your yield. Also the time schedule is more sensitive when using cfls because their recovery time after a screw up is longer. So be careful and get them on timers right aways if not done already, cause they dont have the power of an HPS or a MH. How many plants are you growing?

you probably mean that you have 3 cfls that produce the equivalent of 100w incandescent bulbs. I've never seen or heard of cfls going over 23w. (Then again, I have been wrong in my life.)

Get some more cfls, the stronger the better, those 23w are the equivalent of 135w incandescent bulbs and produce some 1500lum. Have some 10000 lum minimum if you want to have some decent buds.

did a google check on this, you're 100% right. dunno where my head was. Still, never seen bulbs bigger than 23w in stores. Must've not noticed them.

Anyways, I stick to my above statement, try to have more than 10000lum if you want a good bud.

Right off wikipedia: The lumen (symbol: lm) is the SI unit of luminous flux, a measure of the perceived power of light.

More lumen=more light=more energy for photosynthesis and metabolism=more buds

One such bulb produces 1085lum. Thus, 10 such bulbs, kept fairly close to your plant, will produce some nice buds.

have high k is good to for the spec
even if u dont have a big watt bulb just get a bunch of the right spec bulbs and place them right and u should be fine
more watts and lumen the better
