Will plants still flower with 18 hrs of light?

Hi.
I have these regenerated plants(*sigh*). 5 weeks of flower looks like two.
What I would like to do is switch the light from the metal halide to the hps and use 18 hours instead of twelve. This will allow me to add the new plants that I've been vegging under fluorescents for 6 weeks now.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer this

just put the plants youve veg'd for 6 weeks in with the others and flower them.they will double or triple in size anyways

The plants will probably have marginal if any flowering under 18 hrs of light

Why are you wanting to switch from MH to HPS if you're going to an 18 hour schedule? The MH bulb would make more sense, IMO...

The metal halide is for growth...18 hrs. The hps is for flower, 12 hrs. What did I say? I just call it the gold light and the white light to myself.
Why are you busting my chops over it? Was there a quiz? Did I miss another test?
You think I should put the veg plants under 12hrs. Why? Whats your reasoning? I heard that plants will continue to flower if the flowering is advanced
enough. See, I have to sex the plants I have been vegging and they are not old enough to clone yet. Thanks guy.

chill out noob! you worded it wrong you said you were going to flower under metal halide.YOU messed up.if you switch them to 18 hours they will go back to their veg state and throw them into a TON of stress and they will most likely hermie on you then your lookn at seeds where buds should be.stick them in there with the others run the hps on them and flower all of them.then look for males on your unknowns and kill them off.you should sex clones not plants then veg them after flowering.you can let them veg until they show preflowers but it takes longer and most dont have the room for that.
