Will reverting back to veg work?

Little back story, I gave a friend an extra plant I had because he had an interest to grow. So he vegged it under 2 CFL's, 23W for a month and a half, and then switched to 12/12 about a month ago, disregarding ANY advice I gave him toward getting more light, changing the spectrum to flower, getting a fan, etc. So now he's running those same two lights on a 5' plant a month into flower...

Since it's driving me nuts that this plant has no future, I suggested chopping the top 8 - 12 inches and rerooting it. Now, my question is this: If I take the next 8 - 12 inches of the stalk and reroot it, will it be easy/feasible to revert back to veg state and LST her?

I wouldn't go back to veg once I went to flower. Once you switch, stick with it.

If you get that cutting to root, then re-vegging will occur.
Do it. Take your cutting back home (where it can be treated with deserved respect)
(Friends like that really f&%k me off...you may want to google "Ligger" and see if it applies to your mate ;))

I've always heard re-vegging will make your plant bigger by the time flowering comes back around...and potency idn't affected because it hasn't cycled through a full season

Yes sworth, ligger DOES apply to my friend. The best part is he wonders why it's not doing anything but sprout a few hairs after I've told him countless times, GET MORE LIGHTS...I'm just hoping that it won't be too stressed to even grow, Schultz TakeRoot works amazing. I'm worried that trying to reroot her and at the same time having been "topped" will make her just stagnant.

There's aren't really buds so to say...just the formation of the calyx's with some pistols, doesn't have enough light to even grow past that stage.

Lights are importan if your re-vegging i would say topping is ideal for this so you don't get stringy buds but i would only top after a root system is established...just pluck off old flower sights too

Since you are newer and might know something I don't, can you explain to me how re-vegging your plant is beneficial? What are your theories?

If you cut that vertical shoot, it won't regrow. That will stop how tall that section will get. The lower stuff will continue to grow though.

If you take that top off that plant, the plant will stop growing vertically, yes. The side colas will continue to grow vertically, but the part where you actually take the top shoot off of the plant, that will stop. It will just heal up and continue to grow the rest of the plant. The part you cut off, if cloned right, will continue to grow into a new plant.

Well from my understanding as long as the plant never goes through a full cycle , you can still re-veg and lose no potency and gain yield in the end...im testing this right now, so i won't know from experience for a couple more weeks...but i can keep you updated on what i gather together from my run...mine was about 3 weeks in flower when a clone was taken and should get roots 2-3 weeks after i put them in my clone dome, let me find where i read this at
