will this 200w led light ufo be any good?

It looks ok in the ebay listing, but it's not a brand/seller i've ever heard of. It has a 1-year warranty but I'm pretty sure you would have to send it back to china at your expense if it needs to be fixed. As good as the price may sound, it probably wont be worth it. I'm sure if you get it, your plants will grow well, but I don't think the light will last.

Hmmm, only thing is I wouldn't go for cheap Chinese models for the reason TubeAndJar said. If it's being shipped that far it may even arrive broken and require you to send it back.

LED's are brilliant for growth in both phases these days penetration on those 3 watt diodes is good too! Just don't cheap out on em or you've wasted your money imo.

go with a cheap brand like blackstar, they last and are quite reputable with a decent warranty plus they generally have somewhere relatively local to return to, not international.

If it arrives in good condition then it'll last a LONG time providing there are no electrical faults, most LED's have a rating of 50,000 hours running time.
Again, personally I wouldn't risk a dodgy Chinese model :)

would a 200w led yield around the same of 400w hps? i read this online... :-/
No... a 300w LED might come close but the claims tend to be greatly over exaggerated, you can get roughly 2oz from a 90w UFO that's about 0.6 grams per watt and that's from a grower on here who has a journal and everything lol.

I reckon though if you matched the wattage i.e a 400w HPS and a 400w LED (with the 3w diodes) the LED's could potentially yield more or the same :)
