Will this 4 bulb T5 HO fluorescent fixture provide enough light in grow tent?

I’m about to set up an indoor grow tent for the first time. Can someone tell me if this 4 bulb T5 HO fluorescent fixture will provide enough light in a 60”W x 31”D x 80”H grow tent to successfully grow four 5-gallon buckets hydroponically (drip)? I will be able to adjust the height of the light.

I'm far from experienced, but I would have to say no... not a full grow from seed to harvest...
I would do a little more searching and see if more people chime in...
But, again,I'm a noob!!!

Would be fine for veg but you need HID light for flowering. I'd go with a 600w hps for bloom.

I use the same brand but the 8 bulb. Spend a few more and get the 8 bulb. It has two switches. You can run four or eight bulbs.

Those pots are 15 inches wide. The two plants on the right are right at 3 foot. In the previous pic.

It does a good scrog to.

Pretty much you just need more light for the space you have. any of these lights will work. just read up on the type of light you buy. if you grow with t5s do what whitebb2727 said, Scrog it hard. shit unless your doing a 1000watt hps in there I'd Scrog or at least lst/top your plants.

T5s can't even compare to HID as far as lumen output. If you want a decent yield go with HPS.

Thanks Dank. The link provided doesn't work... I'd like to see the comparison. Yield, heat and operating cost are factors for me. In your opinion, what would be better, an 8 light HO fluorescent fixture or a 600 watt HPS? Is there a significant difference in the yield? Thanks.

The T5 will be great for veg, but lacking for bloom and maximum yield. To save on energy cost a possibility would be to swap out the T5 with a 600 watt HPS for the final stages of bloom. If I had a choice though, I would go for the HPS. Good luck.

Definitely HPS, it uses more power, it puts out a good bit of heat but yields will be double so it's been worth it for me. If your grow space were 2x4 or smaller I would recommend the T5s.

No, 4 bulbs would not do well with four 5 gallon buckets, you would need to think smaller

I have grown in a 2ft by 4 foot closet with a 4 bulb T5 but a 6 bulb light like this would work better https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NMYLOBU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. for that area an 8 bulb lamp would be optimal but you can have a successful grow with a 4 bulb lamp. yield will be much lower and the 6 bulb lamp is only $10 more.

there is an old Chinese proverb " a poor man will be content if he never sees a rich man" maybe the HPS and LED crowds never tasted good flouro grown weed.people who have tried it tell me that my T5 grown weed is much better than the weed from the dispensary of the street which is HPS grown. and i'm sure that you have had the same experience.we know that T5s grow the best weed. some dispensaries use them because their customers demand it.the new CMH bulbs look promising for a large grow room but they need time to prove themselfs

Not sure what reality you live in, but it's a simple fact that T5s, cfl and led cannot produce the same lumen output as HID for an equal amount of energy consumed.
