Will This Chiller Do?

hey everyone!
I am going to be purchasing a chiller soon for my aeroflo 18 (17 gallon rez). I was wondering if this particular chiller would be powerful enough to keep my rez cool. If you have any suggestion on what chiller I should get, dont be afraid to speak up!

which model are you looking at? the AE-USA CL-85 or the AE-USA 1/13th HP?

The CL-85 will not work well for hydroponic systems. Its really designed to keep a reef tank bellow 80F.

If you're looking to get int the mid to low 70's. The 1/13th HP is what you want to get. It will cool a 30g system by a max of 20 degrees F.

I was looking at the AE-USA CL-85. I am trying to get mt rez temps at around 67 f. My rez is 17 gallons, Thanks for the info reef! I also have an 8 gallon hydro system that I need a chiller for, do you think that the cl-85 would work for that??

yeh, the cl-85 wont work for your application. since its an electrical based chiller unit, its not as effective, especially for hydroponic applications. the next size is the 1/13th hp unit. We've sold several for hydroponic applications, so far, no complaints.
