Sorry bro but I meant to say that my grow tent is 32 cubic feet not square. I bought the fan today but mistakenly bought the 4 inch aluminum vent instead of the 6 in..
my carbon scrubber has a 4 in opening which i can directly sit my 4in fan in. I have a 4 to 6 in duct widener so it can attach to my fan. And if i got the 6 in ducting then it would attach from the widener to the cool tube .. and then from the cool tube to outside the tent.. but i got the 4in instead so i gotta compromise somehow
QUOTE=CaNNaBiZ CaNucK;3723476]Well, what is the height of your tent? Whatever it is, multiply your height by 32 and you'll have your cubic foot volume. Let's say it is 6'.. so 6x32=192 cubic feet. You should exchange your total airspace at least once per minute.. bare minimum. Five times is optimal. You need to give your plants a continuous supply of cool, dry air with fresh CO2. Your fan is rated at 144 cfm so you have 48 cubic feet of air remaining in your tent not being replaced each minute. Adding your carbon filter will drop your cfms even further. Now, realistically, if your use your 144cfm fan for the theoretical space I've used as an example you'll be fine. Just make sure that if you have an intake fan that it is below 144cfm, or you'll be creating positive pressure which slows down airflow, heats up the area and lets the stank out. A passive intake will do you fine. I would recommend getting a higher cfm fan, maybe a 6-8" rated @ 200-400 so you can exchange your airspace at least once or twice per minute. This probably isn't realistic, but if you can, your plants will thank you for it. Most of us gotta use what we got!
Hope this helps.
