will this work for the aerogarden?

The aero bulbs have a unique base to their bulbs so you have to buy their bulbs, unless you modify your aero to accept regular cfl bulbs. The modification is fairly simple if you are at least a bit mechanically inclined. It's a cheap fix, maybe 10 bucks for sockets and epoxy or silicone( I used silicone in my fix). If you're interested in doin this fix let me know and i'll try an locate a link that will walk you thru this fix I use daylight cfl's (6500K) during the veg and then I switch to soft white cfl's for flowering. Been growin this way and have no problems.

Justin: there's nothing lacking with A/G's lamps. Not if you have the hood with three lamps on a tall 24" arm/light stand. Some people try to change it but I haven't seen their efforts result in anything better. Some folks hang extra light around them to get more illumination into the normally shaded lower portions of the plants but that too can create a scene reminiscent of the inside the crypt in the first Indiana Jones movie. A real snake pit and a wire man's nightmare

If you still feel a need after you've grown a few crops and have gotten used to the system's peculiarities then I would suggest you consider making some 'aimed' reflective panels to send the light you already paid for back up to where you want it. A friend uses the shiny side of aluminum foil over pieces of cardboard cut to fit. I put Mylar over plastic panels and I got buds all the way down to the planting deck. Personally, I think that's the most you can get out of that system. Good luck. HSA
