hey everyone on RIU. i have an issue that came up yesterday morning with my newly planted clones.

the strain is pineapple express grown in soil with organic nutes. anyway i just cloned 5 babies and i noticed that they started to WILT right after i put them in the humidity dome with a heating pad under for warmth.

is this normal? i have cloned bagseed, first grow, and that never happened. so i am wondering why now. i have them under cfl's for lighting on 18/6.

they are sleeping as we speak so i cant take any pix till 4am when the lights come back on.

plus REP for helping out me n my youngins .

have a nice night..:leaf:

Same situation with me. I used rockwool medium. this was my first time. My cubes were wet, i think they needed to be damp. Also i sprayed the leaves and cubes. Definitely wont spray the leaves next time. As long as cubes are damp, and hood is humid, just gotta be patient I guess. Only be worried with yellowing, curling I guess. Good luck! Def go with ledgrowing tho, 24/0 till root!

puta nice ammount of water in there, like fill the bottom, and also put like 2 ml of H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) to keep it clean, as well as oxygenated, than heat pad to like 80, and keep as close 100% humidity as possible, dont spray leaves, only the hood, EVERY time you move the clones, even bump them you disrupt their process, you gotta let them sit by themselves as long as possible... h2o2 helps.

Never heard that before shrubs first, Water on the bottom presents a whole new problem, mold and bacteria, true, h202 for disinfectant, but why introduce a new possible problem. I respect everyone has their own way, but if you dome it, humidity will be fine. Even if your dome is a 2 liter bottle, (DIY for life, LOL). Just saying if you put water on the bottom, and move the dome, which you will i feel it opens a whole new door, that you don't need if you have a dome already. maybe i'm wrong, just wanna hear your reasoning.

Idk any mold that will grow with H2O2 in there. And the hood keeps it 100% humidity... Ive done it plenty of times, I dont even open it once until 7 days later, and i have roots... there arent any problems... Go to a local grow shop, and you can get 33% h2o2.. Done and done

the peroxide wont hurt the ones in the jiffy pellets??

I see shrubs first, a no hands approach. Sittin in the water, you avoid spraying 1-2 a day, and disrupting the clones. Great approach and pro advice! +rep and scribed to your journal, even though i don't do hydro, but your setup is legit. thanks for your input for us newb cloners!

Just wanted to suggest cloning in a different medium...try using rockwool with a clone gel and a nice cloning solution. Its nice and compact allowing you to fit 10-15 inside the dome and holds the moisture you need to produce roots...and 24 hour lighting is great....good luck!

Yeah dude, but check out my thread in plant probs. Got wilting, but now yellowing or dying. hope it helps. I feel confident they'll perk up. Just make sure your cubes are damp, not wet. I might be wrong, my clones might be too big, check it out and let me know what you think!

when i clone i just root gell them put them in a packed down soil thats airated and spray distilled water on them, i also take clones 21 days into flowering on the mother because this highly increases chances of survival due too the cell wall that produces roots is matured and that plants priorty is on the flower which converts to a node in no time at all. the white hairs literally convert into leaves, ive done research on this and have done ti myself so i know its legit, also ive had very few deaths with cloning, when they dont have a dome they can be much closer to the light aslong as you wet them with distilled water and a drop of dishsoap mixed in it works great, at least for me it does. and the extra lights helps it convert alot quicker.
thats my input. hope it helps maybe for future cloning or maybe you would like to try it as an expirement to test my claims. Be my guest.
