so I’m wondering if how I have my window unit wired could cause stress on the compressor and shorten the lifespan. It’s got all the digital controls in it so when I run it through my controller and tell the unit to turn on it’s got a pretty long delay befor the comp actually cycles on. So I gutted it and bypassed all the onboard controls and tstats and took it old school. Works fine and dials temps in a lot faster so it runs less however I’m thinking I should put a time delay relay inline with the compressor leg and set it to 10-15 sec. The window unit has a good 2-3 min delay. Any thoughts?
