So we are always wanting the closest light possible to sunlight. I have a window that no one can see in and gets light for about 6 hours out the day. Is it healthy for my seedlings to spend 6 hours under sunlight and the rest under flurs?

depends on the amount of light it is recieveing a day (time of year). You may aswell keep them under a few low watt cfls and then put them under your fluros after a week and then veg them up. When flowering you'll want to use some Red spectrum cfls 2700k or a hps along with giving the plants 12/12 light.

Placing a seedling in a window sill might make it strech a little more than you want it to also.

My first seedling got all of its light from various windoesills and its short and stronger then the ones that started under flur.
