until the concept of inclusivity makes sense to you, there is no point in trying to explain anything to you...
why do a few terms upset some people so much? mother, birther, birthing people....just words, why are they so important to you?
i guess for the same reason so many gun pricks go off on rants about "It's not an ASSAULT rifle" or " ITS NOT AN AK" or what the fuck ever completely irrelevant point they're trying to make to distract from them not having one valid argument in support of their position...

I lived in MN in highschool, and we had a wood furnace, to supplement the oil furnace.
You have a pretty valid point. Cutting, transporting, splitting, stacking wood, bringing it in to burn, and then cleaning the ashes out and disposing of them is a hell of a lot more work than turning the thermostat up or down a couple of degrees. How much of a savings is it after you count your time, your effort, the gas for the chain saw...The eventual thrown out back, the potential heart attack...
Something often overlooked is the impact burning wood has on your home insurance premiums. About 10 years ago I lived where firewood was easily acquired so I looked at converting our oil burning furnace to firewood to save a bit of money. The small savings and extra work were not worth the expense of conversion and the huge increase in insurance premiums.
