World Of Hempy

I tried to keep busy today, I refinshed my dining room table...and the top of the buffet, painted them both satin black, covers over all the damage they have endured for years and made them look good again.

I have also been airing out my jars and one is starting to smell good, very good, it's been in the jar about 2 weeks, so maybe I'm learning a thing or 2...

Moe thanks for mentioning the jewelers loop, I had one, so I used it to check these buds, I got my camera to work to take a few pictures100_2302.jpg100_2301.jpg100_2299.jpg100_2294.jpg100_2293.jpg100_2291.jpg
And the refinished buffet and new wall display.

Your pics look really cool. .. Like spying on bud through a keyhole. haha. but the magnification might not be enough to see the individual trichomes well enough to judge their coloring.

One method I tried was - to take a pic on my digital camera at the 'highest' setting (12megapixel or something). Then put the pic onto my computer and using 'MS paint' or 'Quicktime pictureviewer' or similar program 'ZOOM' into a portion of the picture to see the Trichomes. ..... It works quite well.

edit:
Actually, I have some GDP Hempy's that need checking, I'll 'try' and demonstrate what I mean. ..

For the first few weeks of my current grow i fed my plants with RO water and i didn't PH at all the results were that the plants didn't grow and had 2 nodes on them by the 3rd week, i was afraid to feed them because they were so small but once i started to PH and fert with a 1/8 tsp of GH grow micro and bloom they started to slowly grow, i am still not sure what exactly caused the stunting, i assumed that because the nutrients were already in the plants the water didn't need to be PHed but i think that the very low ph of RO water possibly locked out the nutrients...
psilocybindude, I've had success using Arrowhead bottled drinking water for sprouts through the first 2 weeks with no other nutrients. It has some of the cal/mag we need as humans and the the pH is right down the middle @6.0. I start them in coco so the calcum is needed from day one. On my last run, I really should have started my nutrients sooner than 2 weeks. The cotyledons and the first leaf-sets got a yellow tip on them. The day after my first light nute mixture they showed me how ready they were with a huge growth spurt. This was the first time I let them go 2 weeks, got busy and let them go while I tended to the big girls.
My first plant defect from not feeding soon enough..

I chopped a Barney's Farm LSD a week ago and was about to dump the bucket....then I realized this was the first time I ever used a little 5qt "handy pale" from Walamart (Sterlite brand). Look at this 1" base stem in this little bitty bucket. That rivals stems from larger buckets I've done.

Another boring update. I'm still waiting on my house of garden nutes wich should be here Tuesday or Wednesday. I got the remaining stuff I need to help fire my pineapple explosion. I bought a botanicare 3X6 tray. I put 2l's inside to see how many I can fit 128 2l's (8X16).So after my first round I will definetly fill my whole 3x6 tray up on the 2nd round. I also bought a 8" fresh filter 750 cfm and a 8" phresh duct silencer to keep my 8" fan quiet. Next weekend I'll have about 80 to 90 2ls finally in there 2l homes. I'll post pics next Sunday. The last pic was my two p.e. moms in dwc. Them girls can drink a lot. I won't have a problem taking over 120 cuttings next round.

Without seeing your plants upclose I would always recommend cal/mag. I use GH Flora too and the Magnecal I use is just great.

Nice Job man.

Everything is going well in my grow room. I'm not at my maximum and probably have about 25 empty spots. The tub at the front is full of Lemonator/Lemon Kush. The rest are GDP.

Thanks for the info man, it looks like the effects on your plants are similar to what happened to mine accept yours look like they grew a little better, probably due to the fact that i was using stripped down water, i was operating under the assumption that the plants would be fine until the cotyledons fell off because on my last grow i fed nothing but RO water in jiffy seed starting mix until the cotyledons started to go and i easily made it to the 6th node. Anyways i posted in the sick plants section and was encouraged to feed so i did and that made a world of difference, but because i never PHed my water i wasnt sure if it was lack of food or the lack of PHing that caused the problem, thanks for the advice man i will start fertilizing much sooner from now on to avoid such problems, I'm probably going to start with tap water too i was only using RO because i hadnt recieved my water report yet...
