World of Seeds Afghan Kush x Skunk?

Owing to its elevated levels of cannabinoid production, Afghan Kush x Skunk is highly valued for its therapeutic properties. Stunningly exuberant, this plant is characterised by the density of itsbuds that are covered in beautiful resin glands. Get ready to learn the true meaning of hybrid vigour. If Afghan Kushes are defined by their medicinal benefits, crossing this strain with Skunk (the first real Indica-Sativa) increases yields and multiplies its therapeutic value. - I don't know about any of this..it's the sales pitch but...this has been a nice plant for me. Took well to topping and produced 2 main tops. Stayed short and stretch was reasonable. I have read that these can finish in 6o days. Anyone grow these and remember how long their's went? Here is mine at 28 days of 12/12031713 002.jpg

I am doing WOS Pakistan Valley indoor grow right now...It is a landrace so all bets are off as to what the published flower time is. You have a hybrid, so assuming you are also indoor perhaps you can estimate your flower time to be what you have read. It is dependent on lots of factors, mostly lighting...Get a loop, magnifier or a microscope, maybe $15, look at the trichomes...Hope you know what I am talking about, if not you need to "google". Look for an estimated 50% ratio of clearish, milky white to orangish-red trichome composition on the bud leaves...That would be my harvest marker...You might want to think about getting a copy of Jorge Cervantes, "Marijuana Horticulture" from Amazon. I has all you really need to know...Hope I helped...FWIW

Yeah..I guess I was curious about flowering lengths that have been documented. Certainly will check myself as the plant gets older. So landraces don't have as dependable of flowering times as hybrids? What do you think of World of Seeds?

WOS are fine...I don't believe there is a holy grail seed bank or breeder, at least for me...I obviously spent my money at WOS so that might tell you something...Try to learn while having some fun or enjoyment...There is no real need to aspire to be a ganja know-it-all despite what you may read here...I really hope you take me up on getting a book...Your time will be much better spent reading the book than reading here...FWIW

Oh...I meant to answer your question on landraces...I am a little too blitzed to has a protracted chat right now but there is a thread I started, "Landraces Indoor Anyone?", that has some very knowledgeable folks posting there...You may want to drop in and check it out...FWIW

I appreciate your responses. Why are there so many folks on here that assume others are stupid or have no knowledge? I have that fucking book and have read it. I asked a specific question about a strain? Do I need some sort of qualification to ask a question? If I get many more thoughtless, arrogant responses on here..

Well...Since I am the only responder to your question I can't help but "assume" your retort is directed at me...Try not to worry (or assume) about what others may think of you...It is none of your business...It is one thing for you to believe others think you stupid and without qualification...Then again you can prove your stupidity as you did with this post...FWIW

It's amazing how up tight this community can be... are we all properly medicated/stoned when posting? LOL!

Anyway, I have one of these going along with two more from WOS, Northern Light x Big Buds... all freebies. I started them with a bunch of other strains, and they grew amazingly well, probably better than most of my others. But I'm only in week 5 of veg, and though the AKxS is structured well (short bush with one topping), it has started developing a yellow tint to the leaves all over. Was your girl a heavy feeder? I'm using the Roots Organics nutrients and Pro Mix HP medium...

I'm hoping she is an 8 weeker. This review indicates 50 days... wouldn't that be nice?

Your AKxS looks great! Cheers and good fortunes with your grow!

Yeah 50 days would be cool:-P. I too did one topping and got a well-structured fairly short bush. This plant is in a local potting mix with a version of Vic's/Sub's supersoil in the bottom third of the pot. Mine didn't yellow in veg but I only vegged 5 weeks. She has slight yellowing of a few lower leaves now and I am going to give her a tea(with WC and some bat guano and some fish emulsion) in the next couple days to see if that helps. Because I grew it in SS I have no idea how much liquid fert u could give but I bet you will get yours tweaked. Happy Growing and if u post a pic let me know..

Hey clue, I have no idea as to your nute formula or feeding schedule or your organics as far as soil goes. However, if your yellowing is isolated to "a few" yellow leaves at the bottom third of your plant you more than likely have no worries...You may want to watch for "clawing" especially at your top most leaves...It could be an indicator of over nitrification or salt build up...Again, no worries, easily correctable...Feeding is all about balancing NP&K...I am not a believer in cannabis specific formulas and mixing stuff...For twenty years I did just fine with just "Miracle Grow Potting Soil, All Purpose Fert and Bloom product" because it is balanced...But that's for another thread...If all is going well carry on. Don't change a thing...If you get a hiccup post...Nothing (by way of your description) bad will happen overnight...FWIW
